Yeah I'm not mad they released it, I just don't think it's great, lol.

 

It constantly perplexes me how two people can love the same band on such a level yet how different they can feel about individual songs.

Then again, it's so hard when there's really no songs that I truly dislike. Some I listen to far less than others but they're all my children and I love all my children.

 

Not trying to get too off topic, but Gerard's Drugstore Perfume is one of my favorite songs related to him.

 

I was listening to that song the other day, it's so good.

Hesitant Alien is soooo good, I just listened to it for the first time in over a year a few weeks ago and I forgot how much I loved it. Would love a new solo album from him

 

Hey, I know this is a massive long shot but is there anyone here who went to the MCR show at Sheffield Arena, 13 Nov 2007 who still has their ticket stub? I'm trying to track one down as a surprise for some who's always regretted not holding on to theirs...

 

I wish I went to that show.

 

Wish I had the ticket stub from my first MCR show. It was amazing to see The Black Parade performed in full.

 

Yeah! Like, I know a decade's a long time but I'm hanging desperately on tothe notion that I can find one!

I keep all my concert stubs cause I don't go to concerts super often so it's ~special lol, and I was missing a few and was bummed, but my stepmom had gone to the shows with me and she kept hers so she gave them to me. My absolute fave concerts I like to frame the gig posters with the stubs but it bums me out when I can't find the poster or when the show does electronic tickets only.

Yeah, my friend keeps all her tickets too but this was the first concert she ever went to so I guess she didn't start until later...

I actually do have stubs from the earlier shows. I stopped keeping stubs probably 5 years ago when most shows went to paper/mobile. I know I have my Black Parade tour stub

 

Well at least I'm not crazy in thinking people might have held on to them! Don't suppose you ever made it as far as this Sheffield show in 2007?

 

I kept all my stubs, but I don't even know which state Sheffield is in (oops!!!)

I mean I know it's not exactly a confirmation, but if they're already saying they won't count it out, and it's only been what 4 and a half years? It'll happen eventually. I also fully believe it because they just kind of stopped. I'm sure they will eventually want to come back and give the whole thing a proper ending, rather than just announcing a couple months after their last show "oh yea, by the way..."

 

that would be sick. i got into them right before danger days came out, like a year or so, so i barely had any time with them while they were active. i remember participating in their weird forum/myspace like hybrid site thing haha. must've been like 14

 

Haha yea I think I got into them right before Black Parade came out (or right after?) I just remember my friend showing me Famous Last Words which she didn't think I would like because it was "too emo" or something like that. I didn't start really going to concerts until around the Danger Days time. I had one chance when I could've seen them, and I didn't because I thought it would be too hard to get there (it was in a part of Chicago you could only get to by taking public transportation which I knew nothing about at the time, or driving which my parents would not have let me done), and I assumed they'd be back again soon. I was wrong, and I've never forgiven myself.

 

i can imagine being gutted when that happened. i remember being sorta bummed when i heard and realized i'd never get to see them, but i hadn't yet started going to shows so it was a kind of detached sad if that makes sense
