Moving Mountains Band

Moving Mountains is a rock band from Purchase, New York. Combining emotional vocals with elements of post-rock, the band has often been compared to such acts as The Appleseed Cast and Thrice. They have three albums: Pneuma, Waves, and Moving Mountains, as well as two EPs: Foreword, and New Light. Most recently, they released a split alongside Prawn in 2015, their first released music since they went on hiatus in 2013.

And they're so damn good. The self-titled and the split with Prawn contain some of the best music to come out of their scene.

When does the Moneen split come out?

 

It came out in January I believe. Moneen covered Armslength and Moving Mountains covered Great Escape

 

it was just the two bands covering each other's songs, came out the day the tour started. not even a real legitimate release

cant imagine why anyone would want to incite the one thousandth back and forth we've had on whether or not we like waves. there's so much to actually talk about with this band why would you even want to go down such a shallow conversational road?

 

I think Aphelion might be the best one song introduction I've ever had with a band. It's just hit me back when I first heard it in 2008.
