Idk, but I tried to watch it yesterday on Hulu and got bored after about 20 minutes.

speaking of young Nick Kroll, remember when they tried to make a TV show based entirely around the Geico Cavemen commercial

I’ll take your word for it, but I don’t know anyone who’s seen it

    Give what you can.

The point of this thread and my interpretation of it are on two different planets apparently. :crylaugh:

The actual walk in The Walk in 3-D was amazing. But the rest of the movie sucked ass.

My baseline for this thread is “Does the movie poster or premise look/sound like something that would be a parody in actual movie”?

my take was wide released studio movies with notable actors but over time didn’t have a hold on popular culture and became rather forgettable. The Walk was on TV this morning and I totally forgot that existed.

I felt my OP was quite clear:

“those dime-a-dozen shitty movies (or other parts of culture, why not) that left the public consciousness just as soon as they arrived. The ones that you saw and you know technically exist but feel more like a fever dream that you wouldn’t want to bring up in good company. When a movie is bad and unremarkable but not to a degree that its badness makes it infamous.”

If you go to a convenience store and see a big bin of DVDs for super cheap, chances are that 90% of those belong here

That’s fair. My interpretation was off.

Speaking of, is Robert Zemekis the king of Movies That Never Existed?

Does Final Fantasy: The Spirits Within count? I remember it being such a huge deal when I went to see it in theatres as a kid but I swear it was so mediocre most people have forgotten it existed.

It may have been a big deal among Final Fantasy fans, but it was not a big deal overall. It lost a ton of money.
