Guess the plot of this movie before looking it up. You will never get it correct.

I know it, “happened,” but I have absolutely zero recollection of Zoolander 2 being a thing.

It’s been playing constantly on the Pluto TV comedy channel and I don’t think it’s overstating that it’s one of the worst comedies of the decade.

 

Now I need to watch it after reading that plot summary

 

I mentally put Zoolander 2 in the same empty space where I also put Anchorman 2 and Dumb and Dumber To and I’m sure there are others.

 

I enjoyed Anchorman 2 when it came out but haven’t watched it since

Yeah, when I saw it in theaters I remember thinking it wasn’t as funny because you can’t catch lightning in a bottle twice, but I still enjoyed it enough. Then, yeah, never watched it again. I have watched the first again though and there’s a reason for that.

Oh no.

 

One of the benefits of the Adam McKay/Will Ferrell split is it will likely never happen now.

 

Pluto’s programming is so wild that I wouldn’t put it past them.

 

Come to think of it, Evan Almighty would probably slot into that subgenre of Movies That Didn’t Actually Happen, although I guess it gets some memorability points for just being so fucking weird. The first one was a simple “I’m giving you the power of God for a bit” and the second one was like “I’m going to Santa Claus you and turn you into Noah for some reason and you’re going to build a very large ark and be very wasteful of Earth’s natural resources and everyone will like you again.”

 

Not to mention it was one of the most expensive comedies of all time.
