I'll keep y'all in the loop with whatever I hear about our eventual service here at Regal.

Remind me again which one you work out of, not the Columbia one, right? That's my go-to. Do not want to have to go to AMC at the mall.

So wait what is eticketing.... that's not the check in and pay with credit card thing right?

Paying for your ticket, while not in proximity of the theater. I believe that's what it means.

Just searched the entire tristate area and there's 3 theaters. Ouch.

Sad this is coming to an end but we all knew it would eventually

I assume we can keep the thread going and just rename it to Movie Subscription Services or something like that.

i mean $20 a month for AMC IS a great deal (in a universe where moviepass didnt exist and this came out first i would say heck yes good deal)

It’s a good deal either way. If I had an AMC where my Regal is, I would have already jumped ship.

I'm all for regal since it's the only big chain here.

$15 per month and I'm in.

The only reason I got MoviePass for my girlfriend and myself is because there’s a Cinemark theater directly across the street from our apartment. We could check in from our living room. It was perfect.

The nearest Regal theater is 8 miles away and the nearest AMC theater is 12 miles away.

Literally no part of me has any desire to subscribe to either of those deals because I’d much rather pay the full movie ticket price just for the convenience of being able to walk across the street than having to drive at all.

    This sucks.

Looks like we're back up and running for now. My message about the outage disappeared and MI is back as an option

used eTicketing for Teen Titans Go for tonight and it seems that using eTicketing way ahead of time lets you avoid peak pricing

Wow. Mission Impossible was blocked out earlier, it showed back up again after they announced the outage was over, but I checked again less than 5 minutes later and it’s gone again. Wtf.

things have never been stranger Prestigious

All e-ticketing theaters are exempt from peak pricing.

I signed up for A-List today. Won't cancel my MP yet but it's already paid for itself and I don't expect the service to last much longer. Their new statement was an awful attempt at damage control and the $6-7 surge pricing has obviously not been enough to stop the bleeding.

EDIT: Should also add that since I'm in the NYC metro area I'll probably continue to see indies with Moviepass while it lasts, and that 1 regular AMC ticket is already $16-17 w/ tax.

Expecting to see a very different Moviepass service in the next week or so as the $5 million emergency funds are only supposed to get them to 8/1 and they have to pay the bulk of the loan back within a week (wild).

the regal theatre here is the only one that plays cool indie movies so I really wish they announce a plan already.

So I just did some research and conversion and based on what Cineworld (who owns regal now) charges for their subscription in the UK we are looking at approximately 23 dollars a month. Unless they just try to match AMC.

"Let your theater know you want them to partner with MoviePass."

This dude is a moron. Don't bother telling your major theatre chain this because they are going to do it.
