Was really hoping for Hold Me Down. Torn between the two finalists, neither are close to my favourite MCS songs but both are great tracks in their own right. I feel EIIKM is the better song but FFMO did get me into MCS so holds massive nostalgia for me.

Quintessential MCS from the synth to the lyrics to the melody. Not to mention the song that got me into that band along with My Favorite Accident.

Lyrically it's on an entirely different level than The Future Freaks Me Out is.

Sorry friends, with Thanksgiving I forgot to officially call it, but coming in with 14 of the 17 final round votes, Even If It Kills Me has won the Motion City Soundtrack bracket! Thanks for playing everyone! Hope you all had fun revisiting these songs. I'm so grateful for this band and the music they created.

 

I only got involved towards the end from Go but thank you Mattfreaksmeout for doing the hard work on this. While I didn’t vote for it in the end I think EIIKM is a very worthy winner.

Just got a shipping notification for the 10 year anniversary edition of Even If It Kills Me vinyl.

 

I've been waiting on one for the past week

 

OH that's what my shipping notification was. Awesome. Said it should be getting delivered today.

 

Mine still says in pre-shipment, which is annoying because I saw it in store yesterday

And I pre-ordered the black because the pink was gone and the one in the store was colored

 

Mine came in yesterday. Love the reimagined artwork.

 

I still haven’t received mine. It says it’s still in preshipment since 12/7 which worries me

 

I emailed them yesterday. Apparently they ran out of vinyl mailers or something.

Mine finally got picked up. I'm thinking about sending it back and buying the colored one at the store

 

Ignore my terrible photos, but my vinyl arrived just over a week or so ago. It's amazing. I finally own my favourite album on vinyl and the new artwork looks amazing. Definitely one of the prettiest overall packages.

 

I got mine right before the holidays and it is a really nice set. Only thing that surprised me was no lyric sheet/booklet aside from the title track's lyrics being printed on the gatefold. But the artwork is really nice and I already know all the words so it doesn't bother me much.
