This is your monthly reminder that Not Asking You To Leave is a top-5 song for this band and should have been on EIIKM. If I was going to replace a song on the album with it, it’d probably be Antonia.

 

It is an amazing song, but from what I recall it had some similarities with another recorded track, which would give a reason to leave it off as a b-side. Can't seem to remember what was the part that made me suspect that.

 

you fool! it is a great song but I wouldn't say it's Antonia level great. I'd cut Calling All Cops or Where I Belong if I had to cut anything. Not Asking You to Leave and especially The Worst Part are better than those.

"Calling All Cops" is good but "Where I Belong" is def filler

 

The verses in Where I Belong are way better than any part of Calling All Cops imo. Both are good songs but easily the weakest on one of my favourite albums ever.

 

lol i love calling all cops. honestly i've never been as hot on eiikm as people here seem to be but it has some of their most fun songs

 

fell in love without you, cant finish what you started, hello helicopter and the title track are all classics

 

fell in love without you and last night are perfect and my two favorites on there

 

i love that last night basically is Just Verses

 

And it's written in reverse!

 

Last Night is such a perfect song. That album has a bunch of perfect songs.

 

Where I Belong is far from filler for me. The "chaos in the courthouse" verse constantly pops into my head out of nowhere

This Is For Real is probably the song I think is the most overrated and I wish they'd stop playing it at every single show

 

Where I Belong is one of my favorite MCS songs. The “chaos in the courthouse” verse is one of the best things they’ve ever written.

 

It is a great verse! Just wish the chorus was stronger.

 

Yeah that chorus just kinda grates on me unfortunately

 

The intro kills it for me every time. HELLOTHEREHOWYADOING???????

 

Acoustic Fell In Love Without You is so much better imo than the full band version

 

that takes it from a 10 to a 7 for me, loses all of the energy and fun. not a big fan of the slight changes in melody either.

 

Listened to EIIKM this morning. Such a damn good album. I got the special edition on vinyl a few years ago and the cover is so much better haha

 

i have the deluxe version too and it's one of the prettiest records i own.

There’s a few tracks off EIIKM I think are filler for sure but Last Nite and Hello Helicopter are two of my top favorite MCS songs ever.
