Go is one of my “go” to fall/winter albums.

 

Hard not to be disappointed by this news. I really want new music. Selfish, I know, lol.

 

I don’t know if anyone else noticed this, but the VIP package this time includes being recorded at the soundcheck singing part of what will become a new song. So we have confirmation that at least some new music is definitely happening.

I like the sound of new music.

 

The fact that they did a ten year for this and that bands usually wait until 5 or ten year intervals for these things since the anniversary album tour became a thing, I guess? Just feels redundant considering how much of this album they always play by default. Feels especially cash grabby.

 

Their best song is Last Night.

 

I’m just happy to see them play anything. If they want to put out new music, they will.

Has anyone figured out anything about the “artist presale” tomorrow? I haven’t gotten any emails at all today which surprises me. Usually they go out quickly with an announcement.

If I'm being honest, as long as people think it's one of their best I'm totally fine with that, I just don't want it to get forgotten or buried under their other stuff. It's personally my favorite and I think musically it shows some of their best talents, but I understand preferences and all that jazz.

 

Was not expecting to see Back to The Beat. Great choice.

 

It’s quirky, it’s got lots of references and it shows off Justin’s ability to own a song with his voice and a simple accompaniment.

 

I am so happy so see other people talking about this song. It might be my favorite from them. “Without the sentence structure nothing functions, no one has a clue if it’s me or if it’s you, was it me or was it you?” is one of Justin’s best lines.

Also, on the subject of the tour, it does seem weird that they would do this for a 17th anniversary rather than just do a career spanning set list or tour for an album they haven’t already done.

 

I got so excited my date is on a Saturday but still thought in my head that I will need to nap beforehand that day haha

 

Really strange that there’s still no email from the mailing list at all and the presale is now live with seemingly no one having the code. I need to get these and be done with the stress!

theres supposedly an artist presale happening now, but no one has the code. Lol

 

MCS17YEARS worked for Silver Spring. Some people are saying MCS17Y or the same codes but lowercase are working for certain dates too. I can’t find anything that works for Starland yet.

But I did get one night confirmed, so I’m ecstatic. Feels so surreal to be buying concert tickets again. And livenation is still the worst. Almost a full ticket price over again in fees.
