Yeah so Plains is half Katie of Waxahatchee. You’d probably like their record actually, twangy good vibes

 

Yea I believe I saw some copies of boat songs and then a 7 inch maybe. I did not inspect thoroughly though as I’ve been lucky enough to own Boat Songs on wax since May or so

I got antsy and called the record store mentioned in here and they are shipping me one. Looks like Rough Trade has a red variant available online right now too. It’s out of 100 copies.

 

just bought the red variant from the rough trade website - hell yeah very stoked to own this

 

Everyone should buy this album if they can find it, it's the best one of the year

 

if I end up getting the chance next week, I’m definitely gonna ask him about the origins of the album cover haha

Saw them and Plains last night, and both we're incredible! I was getting so stressed out thinking I was going to have to miss MJ cause we were stuck cause I damn train! Thankfully I walked in just as Toon Town was playing.

 

friend said his vocals remind him of Ben Kweller and now I can’t unhear it

 

this album rules so fucking much i can't stand it. 'you are every girl to me' guitar harmonies give me chills and make me well up pretty much every time i hear it haha
