Movie was very good. Didn’t feel the length.

The ending train section gave me The Lost World trailer scene vibes, loved it.

The new crew was great. The old gang was great, although, I think we should have had more time with Ilsa in this film given her fate. That was the only part I found lacking.

I got the botched mission at the start of the first movies vibes in the Venice night sequence. I had to check wiki to see if it was the same city (it’s not).

Great time at the theater on a way too hot florida day. You love to see it.

I was deceased when that happened. So good.

But the motorcycle jump was Ethan’s decision. Benji just told him to jump, not drive off the cliff. Benji, being mostly a behind the computer person, didn’t understand you can’t just jump off anything and pull a chute. He would have likely died or been severely hurt if he had done what Benji told him to do.

I thought they had already shot part 2 and I just realized it’s shut down because of the strike. These movies are cursed

 

Looks like it's only gonna do $76 mil for the 5 day weekend. Second best M:I opening, but still, pretty grim for a movie that people were expecting to save the Summer.

(Flick still ruled tho.)

 

I still don’t understand why it opened on a Tuesday, it’s not a holiday or anything

 

Because Tom Cruise is that excited for people to see it.

 

Well hopefully a lackluster opening means theaters can finally die and I get to watch movies the correct way, in my house, isolated from the horrific people

Yea this sucks, we’re gonna get part 2 in like 2026 now. Or never because the entire Hollywood system collapses.

 

It's really funny that all these big franchises set themselves up with cliffhangers in expectation of guaranteed sequels and we're never going to get them. Also bearing in mind that these movies were also supposed to come out years ago makes it doubly hilarious.

 

Overall really enjoyed this. It wasn’t perfect, especially the early bits but still fun. Any scenes with Pom in it were my favs. Love during the car chase she was smiling and enjoying it haha.

 

Why was this even released a week before Barbieheimer though?

I’m not an industry expert but isn’t too many blockbusters opening at once doing the opposite of revitalizing moviegoing?

 

Am I the only one who sees Pom's name and has to take a minute for their brain to register that it's Pom and not... anything else?

 

I had to look up who people were referring to lol. I've seen her in guardians 2 and endgame and of course she's all make up in that. Don't remember her in uncut gems.

 

What is "anything else?"
