My PCP had me check out SonderMind when I also got prescribed lexapro and I’ve enjoyed it. I have my sessions during work and I have an office so I can just close my door and put up a DND sign but I could reserve a conference room if needed. My therapist is in the area so I can always ask for an in person session if I want to for that week. I’ve enjoyed it so far and this is my first time ever being in therapy

Yeah I worked in the food industry forever and it’s wild to think how they’d make people come in and work when they were sick.

Best Buy would penalize you for calling in sick and using PTO sick time for it.

I think some places (not all cause I've heard horror stories about calling out sick from places like Amazon) have changed since Covid.

My job has been so wonderful with my ridiculous menopause and diverticulitis journey the last almost year. No one makes me feel bad or worried if I call out because I'm in the ER waiting for an MRI and being pumped full of antibiotics and Morphine. My boss hasn't asked me once for a Doctors note (even tho my doctor does type them up and keeps them on file if I ever do need them) and when I come back from being out, everyone makes sure I'm ok.

Far cry from the Clark Customer Service call center I used to work for 5 years ago that made my life a living hell when it came to my mental health and Health overall.

I learned recently that the entire USA Clarks Call Center is gone. They scrapped it and now the UK office is dealing with all the customer shit. So if you have issues with your Clarks shoes, just throw them up and buy from a different company. guess that is what happens when some of your "managers" are hazing people in the office.

I'm just glad to be at a company where your all over health is more important to your boss than coming in all fucked up in the head because you couldn't *insert mental health issue here* the day/night before.

I tell you, with all the hormone meds I'm on, the sleeping meds and the daily Vitamin D I have to take, i'm fucking tired...literally all the time. Saturday and Sunday this weekend, I cleaned, did laundry, took a nap and yesterday I did nothing jus so my poor bones could reset.

If someone had told me that I'd be dealing with slight (very slight but its going to get worse as I get older) osteoporosis before I was 40...I would have laughed.

moving into my place saturday. im pretty nervous. everythings going super well and im very excited to have my own space and do whatever i want with it, but i just know loneliness is going to hit at some point which is gonna trigger some kind of feelings about substance use and im afraid i wont be strong enough to reach out like i need to when i get that way

  9. Hey, for what it's worth, I feel like recognizing that risk is the first part of the battle. I'm happy for you and I believe in you bud

If I could just forget it

Are you doing any sort of resistance or weight training? That can really help with the onset of osteoporosis.

I actually got a set of weights and bands a few months ago because my doctor said that it would help. I set aside 30 minutes every night to "workout" lol. I wouldn't be caught dead in a gym....rather my cats look at me weird than strangers.

Made an appt to see a therapist this month. We’ll see how that goes. Probably for the best.

  18. I don't think I've had a PCP since high school and it's probably about time I fixed that

My PCP is an hour away from me and retiring in December, so I basically don't have one lol

I just called mine on Tuesday and was told my PCP is no longer there due to a family emergency. It’s like 40 minutes away, so I’m using this as a reason to find a doctor that’s closer.

Forgot to take my lexapro this morning and I’m at a work event all day which is my biggest trigger for anxiety.

  22. That's tough. I forgot to bring my Klonopin to work Friday and had to deal with telling like a dozen students that they couldn't switch their majors. It was a nightmare

Random question, is it normal for a schedule IV substance to be filled for 90 days without a pharmacists signature on the bottle? When I was on Ambien, it always had a signature and I could never get more than 30 days at a time, but I just switched to Lunesta and they gave me wayy more than I expected. In fact there isn't anything on the bottle indicating it's a controlled substance at all. Did CVS fuck up? Haha

I was on Ambien for a short time 7 years ago (best fucking sleep meds ever!) and they always had to sign the bottle. Maybe something has changed since then. Or...yeah maybe CVS fucked up lol.

I don't know what is going on today, but I've cried twice because nothing I do at work seems to be correct, today would have been my grandfathers 99th birthday....and I'm getting shit on at work because the Ramen I made for lunch "is bad for me" and I should be eating healthy....

First of all....Mind your fucking business unless you want to provide money to buy food for me. You don't fucking think I know this? Sorry I ran out the door for a dentist appointment and grabbed literally the only thing I have right now so that I can at least HAVE SOMETHING IN MY STOMACH so that I can work until 5pm and then go work Instacart for 4 or 5 fucking hours tonight and probably have another restless nights sleep. I'm too old for this shit.

I just had a $300 car insurance bill to pay....I have a phone bill that is past due and My Hulu account to pay so that I can watch fucking football.

Sometimes I don't have a choice other than do spend $20 on "groceries" at Dollar Tree just to survive.

    I hate everything.
