I just realized that my tickets for tonight are located in a Wolfsburg supporters section. I’m not an obnoxious supporter, but I do cheer when my team does things well. I hope the fans are not like Philadelphia…

Not really sure how it is in Germany, but I was in the opponent’s section twice in Italy… AC Milan fans were great (they knew I was an American and loved that I had a Di Natale jersey). The Roma fans never knew I was supporting Barcelona and it was slightly terrifying, haha.

But also a home game for Roma should be on everyone’s list. Amazing atmosphere.

Never sat amongst home fans on the continent to know for myself, but I've done it in England a few times and the reaction varies. I don't wish to generalise here but the more "working class" class the fan base, the more likely you'll be presented with an issue.

Yeah I've done it plenty in the UK and would never celebrate. Most of the time it's Middlesbrough games, and I'm in the more "active" stands with my mates. 100% would be kick off if I did anything more than tried to fit in and hurl abuse at the opposition haha

i mean, if you're generally a respectful guy and don't entertain any aggro in your life then I doubt you'll have an issue at a Wolfsburg game @dorfmac Their fans aren't known for trouble like some are on the continent. The thing you must embrace amongst the Germans is that they love getting the steins in. If you do that in the home end, you'll fit in.

    It's all hell.

I reckon he'll be alright or even fall upwards. The work he's done for the England youth set ups and at Forest is brilliant and I can totally see him at somewhere like Palace before the end of the season.

Inter's proposed stadium design. Looks like a lovely location.

  10. Saw a report linking him to Palace already lol

  11. With Romero’s card problems and Van De Ven coming off a hamstring injury, we need a quality CB signing. Please make this happen.

@Swoos When I said I fancied Everton's chances v Spurs this weekend, I had completely forgot that we had a midweek game lol. I'm now at the stage where I feel we could get beaten comfortably. Spurs away is usually a free hit for us anyways.

    Replacing the San Siro?

As far as I'm aware, this is a purpose built stadium just for Inter. AC Milan will continue at the San Siro. There's an Italian law which prevents the San Siro from being modernised/re-developed.

Wait, why did gameweek 17 not end on fantasy? And why did all my free hit pieces return anyway and I not get a free transfer for week 18?

    - I'd imagine GW17 not ending is out of respect for Tom Lockyer. The players in that fixture didn't get bonus points either.
    - Free Hit is for one GW only. Your team goes back to your regular team the next GW.
    - You should have 1 free transfer after playing your Free Hit. The same as what happens after a Wildcard.

Be aware that when playing your Free Hit chip, any free transfers carried over from previous Gameweeks will be lost. You will be back to the usual one free transfer for the following Gameweek.

Yeah, but because they didn’t close week 17, I wasn’t given a free transfer for 18. Think it might be oversight in the system. So I should still have my free hit players of a free transfer. I got hit by a huge injury and suspension thing last week.

That's odd because I got my free transfer.

Maybe. But if fans in Europe do what those in the UK did, then it'll still die.

In principle, an opponent to UEFA isn't terrible, but this will only be done to further entrench the top clubs and rip up football as we know it.
