I think the Liverpool game genuinely broke United supporters. The amount of revisionism about Ole and Paul fucking Pogba of all players since it is incredible

Although I'm not there it does have me wondering if this ETH era will ever be enjoyable, like even if they're winning will it be fun.

Jamal Lewis to Sao Paulo has to be one of the most interesting transfers to me for a while.

I was planning to wait a good while before trying 2025. Don’t really trust them to move to Unity and not fuck up the match engine somehow

Yeah, I’m waiting until ‘26. I’m enjoying my ‘24 save anyway. Quit my all-conquering Atleti side and joined relegation threatened Nantes in November.

The game is way more fun when you aren’t just crushing everyone. Plus I got Conference League on the last day by stopping a PSG unbeaten season. Happy days.

So far I’ve won the Portuguese second division (Nacional De Madeira), one Bundesliga and one DFB Pokal (Leverkusen) three La Ligas, two Copa Del Reys, and two Champions Leagues (Atletico), one Copa America (Chile, also got to the Wc semi’s), one Gold Cup (Canada), one World Cup (England). Gonna try win everything major.

I’ll probably buy fm24 around the holidays. I think 2018 was the last brand new fm game I bought

I’m halfway through my second season with Bournemouth. I left Athletic because I genuinely didn’t think I could take them further than 5th. Managed to get 4th with Bournemouth, they have a sneaky great side with a good tactic. Second season isn’t going as well but outside of Spurs and Liverpool everyone seems to be struggling. There’s a 10 point gap between Liverpool in second and Chelsea in third, then only a few points gap down to 11th. My goal at the moment is try get a PL with Bournemouth, then move to Germany or Italy.

Still with my Arsenal save, just had an unbeaten league season. Staying around until I've made it as a legend on the club info screen.

Despite signing Harry Kane at the end of his career, he rejected a coaching role due to the rivalry with Arsenal.

I can't help but feel like FM25 is gonna be awful, but I do think I'm gonna end up getting it on/near release. I think I'm a bit fatigued with the overall feel of FM24 since it's felt the same since like, FM21, so even if it ends up being worse, it'll be nice to experience something Very New, and then hopefully FM26 is where it's just Great. Plus, womans football seems like it'd be good fun to try out.

    It's all hell.

I'm probably going to get it on launch (because I'm a geek), but honestly if it's terrible, I won't mind too much because fm24 feels like such a complete version of the last few games that I can always jump back.

I always start with a vanarama south team with no qualifications and build my way up from there. This year I've only played as Dover and Colchester, and am currently only in the champ with the latter, but I think that's mostly due to not being able to play as much as previous years due to busy life shit (and the national league being stupidly hard). My play time in lockdown was ridiculous though, and I'll never forget my Dundee United team of FM21

I think in an era when young/newer fans who are particularly reactive and very vocal on social media we’re dealing with two situations going on here. First one is that there’s an ever growing contingency of young fans that have no living memories of Ferguson era football, a heartbreaking fact. Twenty one year old fans would’ve been six years old when Ronaldo left in 09. Secondly, we’ve got a group of newer fans that for whatever reason decided to start following United post Ferguson and have just refused to do their research into the club’s history and successes. This is a frustrating situation i’ve seen play out across all fanbases over social media with fans showing their ass. As a guy who was aggressively reading Wikipedia pages and using Limewire/torrents watch old season in reviews/match replays it bugs me to see younger fans not do similar when stuff is more accessible than ever.

Damn. Don’t remember him winning England POTY twice in the last three seasons. Must be mistaken.

I do remember him being absolutely shite all summer though lol.

Surely with all that talent England must have won something by now right?

Nah, we’re the Spurs of the international game.

    True lol.

Tbf England’s biggest football anthem is about glorious failure, so I think it still mostly works.

  23. But I’ll use this as a bridge to talk up Spurs anyways.

I’ve been seeing a lot of analytics and graphs and whatnot out there showing how Spurs are dominating in possession, in their pressing, momentum, field tilt, creating shots, corner chances etc…and yet we’ve only won one game out of the first three.

It’s still very promising. And you’d think once Solanke is back in the squad and the chemistry continues to build, the goals will absolutely come. And yeah, we’ll still be vulnerable to the counter attack. But I’m not too worried about that. Once we start scoring, I don’t think that will be so back-breaking.

Cole Palmer left out of Chelsea's Conference League squad. They must think they can piss it (they most likely will).
