There’s no hurling thread so I’m just posting this here. Dude smashes this after a great save.

I don't think I've ever seen a penalty awarded for someone being kicked by their own teammate before... what even is the purpose of VAR if you can't see that clearly happened.

I’m pretty torn on Solanke. He seems underwhelming but his trajectory seems good? He had a very good season in the Championship in 21/22. Their first year in PL he wasn’t too great, but I suppose understandable for a team/player just making the jump. Year two in PL, he obviously had a great season. And did so just as he entered his “prime years” age. Him moving to a team with better talent could allow him to take another step.

He does seem like the type of striker Ange wants. Not just a goal scorer but also good ball control and will get some assists. Just feels like a deal we’re gonna have to overpay for and that’s the part that scares me. 65m release clause seems steep.

If we make this signing, hopefully we’re also keeping Richarlison. I feel more comfortable with both rather than just one or the other.

The price for a 26 year old with a single good season seems insane to me. I don’t want anything to do with Solanke. I’d rather find someone else for that price.

I don’t know. We do need another striker badly because Richarlison just doesn’t cut it. If we’re selling him to Saudi and using the funds for Solanke I guess it’s fine, he would probably fit Ange’s system better. It just seems like a big risk.

  5. My prediction is that Bournemouth will demand the clause to be paid. We won’t do it. We end up with Toney or David.

Chelsea being a scum club, what a shocker. They've been briefing against him for days too - some of Romano's tweets might as well have been signed by the club directors.

Fermin Lopez is further proof that Spain have an endless pit of talent at their disposal.

Rumored that Atletico offer is 70m + add-ons. Seems like they should be able to get a decent amount more than that, especially if PSG is involved.

Watching France and Argentina become rivals is pretty funny as a Brit. We can all hate each other now!

Füllkrug to West Ham seems a bit out of nowhere. Feel like I recently saw a quote from Sahin about Füllkrug’s role still being an important one for Dortmund.

  21. Spurs fans were mostly very against Solanke. Then they find some old tweets from Solanke that make it appear like he’s a Spurs fan. Now they all want him. lol.

It's literally been since Baines' era since I've seen us score a direct FK. Exciting!

CBS sucks and the front office bootlicking for CBS pisses me off. The fact that this was probably agreed to months ago between the club and CBS but not telling SG's until the night before is bullshit.

Genuinely gross move by the club to wait until the last second, and just gross to even agree to it with CBS.
