The shift is Tottenham’s recruiting the last 2-3 years has been so good. We have so many promising young players in the club now. Obviously not all will become stars, but it’s just exciting to finally have some structure.

I'm the opposite to you and praised Palmer, but I can see why Southgate hasn't changed one of his favourites (Saka) when the biggest issue seems to be Foden, Bellingham and Kane wanting to occupy the same area of the pitch. If he loses his "steady Eddie" in Saka on the right, that means both flanks will have issues for him to deal with.

 

I’d still have Saka and just use Palmer as the 10.

I'd honestly have dropped Bellingham I think. He's not a No 10 and takes big balls to drop one of the Balon d'Or favourites, but he's struggled to impact the competition so far.

 

I'd have dropped Southgate.

 

Go the Côte d'Ivoire route and bin him mid tournament. Worked for them...
