Watching this England side reminds me of watching Manchester United and I don’t think there’s a stronger condemnation of Southgate than that

 

Trent feels non existent defensively in midfield. Just has no clue where he needs to be positionally.

Take off Trent. Bring on Eze and play a proper left winger. Bellingham as an 8, Foden as a 10.

 

RE England: Sloppy and complacent after going a goal up. - TAA doesn't belong in midfield, and as usual, the attacking talent is being wasted by passive and negative tactics. Foden looked lively but also did a bit too much a few times.

I want the group victory or else it's Germany right up in the last 16 and based on how they're playing, that won't go well.

Desperately need an attacking 2nd half full of intent, fluid football or else I'll be unhappy even if they squeak out a narrow win or a draw.

 

Vestergaard is on a yellow (and also a bit of a calamity at times) so any right minded coach would target him with the attacking players England have got. Won't happen, mind.

 

Quite annoying how hysterical Lineker, Rio and Micah have been and how Thomas Frank has barely had a chance to speak all half time. Would have been good to hear an actual coach's perspective

 

Quite funny watching him be the voice of reason while Micah has an actual breakdown over Harry Kane lol

 

Something very wrong with England's instructions. Kane being on the wing or tracking fully back at every opportunity. Every time someone gets it on the wing, they look up to see where Kane is and he's stood right next to them.

Trent needs to get off the pitch asap also. Wharton, Mainoo, Gallagher - anyone please.

Not sure how Jude wasn’t punished for that two footed tackle that missed the ball entirely and was late to the player.

If 1-1 at 75 minutes, I bet Southgate plays for the draw and then talks about how tough the games are and a point is a great result and positions them up nicely in the final game. Hope I'm wrong about all of what I'm saying.
