5th place being a disappointment in Ange’s first year / our first year without Harry is something I didn’t expect. Not the best finish to the season, but still excited for what’s coming.

 

Arsenal lost their last two league matches of 2023, and since then in the league have played 18, won 16, drawn one and lost one.

You can't realistically do more than that.

 

Europa could be fun next year. Seems like that competition has picked up in quality in recent years.

 

After that mostly shit show of a season, we’ve gone on a 7 game unbeaten run, won 6 (including 2 wins again Champions League teams), scored 21 goals, 4 clean sheets & only conceding 4, Mateta on fire. And we finish above Brighton. Not even City cheating their way to winning the league can ruin this. I’m having a beer tonight.

 

Two years in a row, but if it was Spurs all we’d hear about is bottling it, Arsenal just get to shift blame to City padding the books. Which sure, they are and it’s shitty they’re on their 4th now. But still.


5th this year does feel like a disappointment based on the form we had at times, but at the start of the year if you told me we’d be 5th with a new coach and no Kane, I would’ve been pleasantly surprised. Build more in the summer and improve on set pieces, and let’s go again next season.

The match going fans are an incredibly nervous group of people. Even with all the success they still think City will be of the old (pre-2012).

I missed the goddamn deadline lol. Was gonna bring in either Gakpo or Mateta for Jackson, but was heavily leaning Gakpo so would not have beaten you even with the transfer. Congrats on a great season

Had to cash in this season while @KrisArronNev was a little off the pace. A bit like that year Liverpool won the league when City 'only' managed 81 pts.

 

looks like I snagged 13th after everything has updated, feel pretty good about it as this is my first year playing, and now I know to never transfer Haaland out
