I’m not saying it to over react, in the end we’re a young side who have never played in the CL before, but I can’t complain about the result. We didn’t show up and we didn’t play like we know we can. You guys weren’t great either but you were clinical. Disappointing but it’s just how it is. We’ll be better next season, I’m sure of it.

I think Saka was really good in the first leg, today not so much. And Ødegaard was solid in both legs. Also generally Arsenal played two solid games. I think we deserved to go through, because we were the better team today and also in the second half of the first leg.
It really showed that most of our players are experienced with CL KO games and yours are mostly not. But that will come with time. I really like this Arsenal team and hope you can still win the league.

This sucks. Two extra CL games in the “group” stage, massive long-distance friendly tournaments, a new Club World Cup, but they’ve scrapped replays? Just the big clubs bribing the smaller clubs. A real shame.

If there’s no replays, the lower club should get to choose home or away when the draw is made.

 

The plot thickens. Tranmere's chairman suggests the EFL clubs didn't even get a chance to vote.

 

Timo’s finishing is still an issue. I’m just assuming it always will be at this point. But man, he has been so good in every other area. And the data seems to back it up. I think accepting his option is a no-brainer even with the poor finishing. He is creating more opportunities than anyone on the team.
