Dumfries has the distinct whiff of the sort of player who is excelling because of the system, and will get a big move to a team who misuses him by playing him in a back four, and then ends up playing for Nice or Villarreal in two years.

I completely agree with this. Looks a great athlete and has a fantastic engine but also lacking in some technical areas. His running and stamina works well for the way Netherlands play but I don’t think any top teams play in a way that would take advantage of what he brings to the table.
