The problem is you're playing a line of zonal from the free kick and there's a big gap behind Lindelof. He should have closed it off. Moreno is looking to start from behind and run into that space.

 

Yeah, agreed. I’d place blame more in the set up than any one particular player. There was no need for our line to be so high either.

 

Emery's ruthlessly exposing you on set pieces, especially at the back post. They just did it again a minute ago.

 

If we keep passing as badly as we have this half maybe Villarreal will press higher and leave space

 

Most managers can. We’re hopeless defending set pieces. Add in none of our defence tonight can reliably head a ball and we’re going to be in trouble at every set piece. Pogba is probably our dear header of the ball but even he can be a liability defending set pieces.
