  1. I have no shame in admitting that before I became a fan of Spurs, one of my favorite players was Henry. I always loved watching his highlights and caught a few games here and there. But I never really like fell for Arsenal (obviously). It was around 2008 that I started rooting for Tottenham, and if I remember correctly, that was the year Henry left Arsenal.

IMO it’s way too soon for Poch to come back. I love the man, but he’s inheriting pretty much the exact same team that stopped responding to his coaching.
I’d love nothing more for him to come back down the line, but it feels way too soon if that’s what happens.

  4. I think the only way he’d agree to come back is if Levy finally sold off the players Poch said needed to go 2-3 years ago.

If Levy has any sense at all, he knows the only real option moving forward is a full rebuild. Bring in Potter, sell Kane and the deadwood, reinvest in promising youth. Keep the wage bill low so that there’s money available in the future when it’s time to add some of necessary bigger pieces of the puzzle that come later in the rebuild cycle.

I predict Spurs will hold on to Kane until late in the window when they concede and sell him, but too late to spend the money wisely and they end up buying more average players like Lamela and Bergwijn.

    I do not exist.

I was at the match where Di Canio pushed over the referee. One of my first matches - my uncle’s friend was Wednesday’s doctor so he used to get us free tickets!

It's such a great resource. Could lose weeks on it.

  9. Nah, we are going to refuse to sell him, spiral even further next season, then sell him next summer for half of what we’d get this summer.

  10. Aguero, Depay, Wijnaldum all on a free is good business for Barca.

Martinez to Spurs is picking up steam. Well, via Sky.

Nothing too bad there. Leaving Dier out is one that I didn't think he'd do, but I'm glad he has.

Actually, Ollie Watkins instead of Ings or Bamford is maybe a weird one. I thought Bamford would at least be in the expanded squad before being cut.

  15. I actually feel confident that it won’t be Martinez. But who the hell knows with Levy.

I could have sworn Bamford declared for Ireland but it seems he didn’t.

It's been said by actual reliable sources that it's going to take financial headway to pry the Spurs choice of manager from their club, I just don't see it being Martinez based on that.

No real issues with the provisional England squad, I'm not sure what to do now.

I was trying to describe myself to someone

First football memories for me are really jumbled. My family weren't really into it, so it was only when my step dad arrived that it became something which was talked about. At the time, Newcastle were raging as the entertainers, so they were pretty exciting times I guess. I saw three matches as a young kid and I can't remember what order. I think one was a friendly against Juventus, one was maybe a cup game against Everton and the stand out one was against Sheffield Wednesday. I didn't realise until years later that it was Bobby Robson's first game with us. We battered them 8-0 in a league match, which was incredible. My best friend at the time was a Wednesday fan, so that was pretty fun.

To be honest though, I don't think I started paying close attention until I was a bit older. Started watching Match of The Day every weekend I could once I was about 15 I think, so around 2003. I distinctly remember Rooney appearing on the scene (that goal against Arsenal) and the 2002 and 2004 international tournaments.

Yeah same - would have preferred Fikayo Tomori to be included over Ben White but otherwise a good provisional squad. It'll be when he cuts Grealish, Sancho, Bellingham, TAA, Greenwood, Saka and Reece James that i'll start to get pissed off :crylaugh:

    It's all hell.

That Beckham incident is the exact same one for me - 6 years old in hospital with a chest infection crying my eyes out whilst England got eliminated.

Feel sad that Pope got injured right at this point. That means Pickford probably starts and I think he’s declined significantly since 2018.

    Also feel sorry for Bamford.

Love that there are no players over 30 and only 3 over 28.

Now Southgate, if you could just tweak your tactics to utilise our incredible array of forward players, that would be GREAT.
