Why tf is Tuchel starting almost-useless Werner instead of Pulisic? I don't even mean this as a USMNT fan, I mean this from footballing reasons. Pulisic was even rested for the weekend game?

 

Werner has something like 10 goals and 10 assists this season, I think he fits the way the team plays.

 

Werner has double figure goals and assists for the season tbf. Not to mention he had the Real defence on toast numerous times in the first leg.

 

Hasn't Werner only scored once in all of 2021 thus far? Like aren't most of those stats from the first couple months of the season?

Well I guess that’s the FA’s punishment to the club. They actually went out of their way to do that when there were easier and cleaner ways of rescheduling.
