A guy called Bobby has. I saw his team with 3 Wolves players in it and thought "shit, he's going to catch me this week". Turns out his 3 Wolves players scored him a total of 0 points v West Ham.

I won't reveal exactly when I'm using my first wildcard but it won't be this week as I'm happy with my team.

I thought that I would have gotten a return on at least one of those. But I'm also back into FPL after a 4 year break so I'm playing somewhat loosely this year.

 

I'm no expert at FPL (as my finishes every year show lol) but I can't help but think wildcarding this early is short sighted. Surely there's more value in waiting till double gameweeks etc.? Plus it's too early to tell who is in form and who just had a good game. Think it would be best to let the dust settle and teams gel after the transfer window before pulling the trigger.

But then again, I never use my wildcard anyway so what do I know haha!

 

My FPL approach this year is to make as many mistakes as possible and see where that gets me. Taking hits, knee-jerking, staying impatient, and barely strategizing when it comes to using my chips. Mainly just trying to strategize around spreading my money around wisely and making decent captaincy choices.

 

Used it last GW and it went badly. Wolves and City shat the bed, Son got injured and Salah didn’t do much.

last year I was top 50k, this year I’m currently 4.3m haha

 

In FPL terms, Wolves shitting the bed was not at all helpful, nor was picking up 3 injuries in one week...

 

Yeah I've got lots of injuries too. Am around 2.4m overall but already towards the bottom of all my leagues and most of the people in them take it more seriously than I do so will still keep getting good points. I went with two LFC defenders (TAA and VVD) and I think they will have less clean sheet points than the past two seasons based on the way people are talking about their tactics this year (giving up more chances etc) so swapping one for someone like Castagne before he gets too expensive would save me a small amount of £££ to use elsewhere.

 

Taken to penalties by Newport County. This is going to be a long season...

The only good thing about this match is that Ole seems to have figured out that you can start a different lineup for Cup matches as opposed to league matches. Once he figures out tactics baby we got a treble brewing

 

Kimmich just scored a goal while falling and hitting the ground. Honestly impressive he was able to get that off.

 

Dalot is absolutely woeful. What a shocking buy.
