Posting this just to say I do quite like the Arsenal home kit for next year. That image is the first time I'd seen it, but I like that patterned shirts are making a comeback. Hated a few years ago where every strip was a cut and paste job. Led to teams like City, Tottenham and England all having effectively the same shirt. I like each team using a different type of pattern to stand out a bit more.

Lmao, if that is "overpaying" considering how the market has been in the past 2 years or so, imagine if someone like Barcelona conducted an investigation into Dembele/Coutinho :crylaugh:

I like patterned shirt, but the pattern has to be nice. Our jerseys have awful patterns, and the Arsenal marble jersey isn't great. The City home jersey is awful imo. I'm not a fan of how every single team seems to have a pattern jersey this year. I wish there was more variety.

But I'm weird, I love the Chelsea away jersey.

Good god I adore those colours they chose. well, except the yellow but that's whatever. The pinky/red and navy is so nice. I hope they don't do an Inter Miami fuck up and make their home jersey white.

The Libertines have done the same thing for the last few years with Margate, their local club. Remember Jake Bugg and Louis Tomlinson doing similar with their. Love stuff like this, cool bit of unique merch for fans of the bands too.

There is 0% reason for me to believe that Barcelona will win this afternoon. So, naturally, I'm still beyond nervous af.

If you read, the Pepe/investigation story is not quite as bad as the headline implies IMO.

Basically this is us as a business, who are undergoing a major scouting department restructuring, analysing why we decided to pay this fee for him. What was it about him that made us pay such a big fee. He's a great player but it's obvious we overpayed and we are simply looking at why this was. He still got 12 G/A from 22 starts, but it's obvious anything 50m is an overpayment based on this season.

We need to look at was it a scouts recommendation, or was it data based? What made us decide to pay this much for Pepe and not the same for Zaha? Was it due to kind structuring deals that elevated him above other targets and persuaded us to pay more in the long run.

We are overhauling our recruitment completely and it makes sense to look at this transfer as well as probably a few others, and see who had the influence, who did the financial aspect, and so on.

  12. When are they going to start the investigation for giving Willian that much money?

    hmmm

If Man City beat Lyon tomorrow, I'll be in the position of wanting the winner of Bayern/Barca tonight to win the whole thing. That's how crap the other three options are.

He's on 120k plus incentives, which isn't really that much for a free transfer of an experienced, PL winner.

Edit: Just seen a reliable source say it is only 100k a week.

  15. oh really? Everything I saw this morning said 220 per week

All absolutely fair and logical but imagine the poor fucker waking up this morning to that headline :crylaugh:

Nah, max I have seen from any reputable source is 120k. I think the 220 is with his signing on fee and all incentives met, which is never included in weekly wage except for suddenly when we sign Willian.

Seems we’ve signed a 17 year old winger from Partizan. That takes me back to the glory days of Zoran Tosic and Adem Ljajic.
