  1. I actually like it haha

I mean, the sponsor logo is kinda dumb but that’s the case for most teams. The design and color scheme are cool.

Good win today. We looked a lot more robust than before. We're picking up some form and a head of steam. Hopefully we can secure a european place, and with Saka and Martinelli signing long term deals, it has been a good week.

What’s the story with Guendouzi? Is Arteta just done with him?

I know it's hard to believe but you can actually have more fun supporting lower league teams. With those teams you can be much closer to the team actually, you probably can talk to the players after a game, maybe party with them after a win or whatever. It is somewhat a completely different experience than supporting a big team, especially if you are not a local to the big team and only watch them on TV.

My greatest memories being a football fan are surely with my lower-level home team. All those away games where we sometimes only were 5-6 guys screaming against the whole home crowd. My first season going to away games regularly we pretty much lost every away game, you basically knew before that we would lose. But that didn't matter, the fun was making the trip anyways. The fun times during the train rides to the game were worth it alone. The bond that you have with a local team is just not comparable to anything else.
Avoiding relegation with a 93th minute goal on the last game day and partying afterwards with the whole team. Or securing a point away against Dynamo Dresden and then be rewarded with stone-throwing home fans when you try to get to the bus back home. Or waiting until 3 am at the stadium with your buddies for the team to arrive from an away game you couldn't make it to to celebrate a Friday night away win no one was expecting. Being a fan of a big team cannot give you that.
I am a Bayern fan for more than 25 years now but I will never be as close to the team as I am with my home team. And even young Bayern fans from Munich probably know more about the actual feeling at match days than I ever will.

  5. Yeah, I think it goes back to soccer culture here vs the culture there haha maybe I should’ve been more involved with the team though. They seem to be fairly decent for their level.

  6. Just read Liverpool want to sell Keita to help fund a move for Koulibaly.

If that happens I really don’t see how they lose a game in PL (assuming health).

    Mane Firmino Salah
    Wijnaldum Fabinho Thiago
    Robertson Koulibaly VDV TAA
    Allison

    There literally isn’t a weakness.

Just watched highlights of the German cup final, there was no artificial crowd noise pumped in and it sounded so much better.

He just only wants committed players. Apparently good sources say we are offering him in deals for players we want, notably Partey, cause Simeone like Guendouzi. Think he wants to go back to PSG though, and if they offer £35m or more I think we will sell.

I like him and he could be really great, but honestly we bought him for £7 so making a good profit for a player with a lot of disciplinary issues would be good. Especially if we get in a great centre mid to replace him. We need to have some better senior players to help our youngsters and so it would be a good bit of business really.

Losing Ceballos and Guendouzi in one window wouldn't be great however as they are by far our best ball carrying midfielders.

I wonder if Keita wants to move abroad due to those rape allegations...

No surprise that we've been shit in the game and a half since we won the league.

De Bruyne being rested tonight isn't ideal. I was looking forward to seeing him lay Southampton to waste.

It's not worth much, but United has fewer losses than City. Crazy performance by Southampton to hang on for the win.

Look up Suarez's goal for Barcelona just now when you've got a chance. Insane Messi control/run/assist but then the finish. Woof.

We're not selling Keita and we aren't signing Koulibaly. We don't need another first team centerback, we'll need a replacement for Lovren though.

Seems like Thiago is coming in, though that's likely a product of Gini not signing a new contract, which means he'll get sold.

Seriously though, imagine how rich Barca are going to be for a short period after Messi goes. £1 million a week now isn't it? And desperate for new stars. Some lucky club is going to fleece Barca more than even the Coutinho deal.

I know it’s not exactly a secret anymore but the job Bordalas has done at Getafe is astonishing.

They’re a team that used to be considered a punchline when I lived in Spain. And for the last few seasons that have been a top half team, pushing for and playing in European football, despite having no budget compared to teams around them and below them.
