I never watch with artificial crowd noise. I think it's pretty cool to hear the players and coaches during the game.

In Chelsea Villa earlier there was a huge downpour and you could hear the sound of the rain on the stadium roof, and that was the only thing that made me realise how quiet everything really was - until then I hadn't really paid it much attention!

Michael Dean seems to be a Liverpool fan. Calls off so many clean tackles from Everton.

That was a lovely dive from Mane a few minutes ago like. Totally invalidates their title for me haha.

If only Gomez never got a touch on Davies' shot earlier. Yes, it would of been very smash and grab but I wouldn't have it any other way

Gotta give credit to Lovren for trying to break the stalemate.

I was trying to describe myself to someone

On the crowd noise thing, first game I've watched was the Newcastle vs Sheffield United one today. I was watching it on Freeview, so I got the Sky noises. I didn't think it was too bad for the most part. The most noticeable thing for me was the 'crowd' loudly booing the referee for most fouls and the fact that they quietly had it singing a song that I don't think you'd hear at St James' Park. Pretty sure they had them singing When The Saints Go Marching In, which I don't think either set of fans would sing. Maybe the United fans would sing about the blades marching in, but that's not what it sounded like.

Still hard to swallow that Barcelona bungled his playing time clause that allowed him to get away. But it was the first sign of a lot of bungles to come.

Especially given that period when Xavi was coming towards an end. I'm sure Tata Martino would have loved to have had Thiago around the season he was there.

I've been saying for a while that I can see Foden scoring a couple at some point, and there's no reason it can't be tonight. I know people joke about him getting playtime and Pep calling him the best youth prospect he's ever seen or whatever, but every time I've seen him play he just passes the eye test for some reason. Lot of responsibility for him with so many changes in the team.

Apparently, there was a banner flying above the Etihad tonight saying "White lives matter - Burnley".

You can't be sure who is responsible for such a thing but its utterly tasteless nonetheless.

Foden looking good these past two games, love that he is getting a ton of time now.

Cancelo being worth £60 million is the biggest joke going.

  19. They’re already trying to replace him lol

Really hope they’re unable to get Hakimi

God Hakimi would be deadly under Pep. Literally a team built for a fullback with his qualities.

where would i be if i was my brain Prestigious

I'm not sure where he'd fit in and he doesn't really deserve the chance but I'd like to see Grealish in the England squad.

  24. They just have so many attacking options, there’s going to be a quality player left out.

Kane, Sterling, Rashford, Sancho, Foden, Maddison, Dele, Grealish

I've just been thinking in my head now about the best England XI. You think okay well you've got to start Sancho. And Kane. And Sterling. And Rashford. And so on. And by the time you end you're at about 26 players that are good enough to be playing at International level.
