I mean, I get Rondon isn't a fancy name and certainly wouldn't be my first choice.

But when the options are a warm body that got 18 G/A in the league last year playing for a terrible Newcastle side, or literally no body should we suffer just 1 injury between now and the end of the season, I can see the appeal.

  2. Willian Jose is such a random striker for multiple teams to be battling for

It’s not but he was absolutely awful last season.

plus he was a pissy little baby for 5 months until we sold him.

United in for Joshua King from Bournemouth instead now it seems. Spurs in for Giroud!

Ings too. We’re in for EVERYONE

  7. Spurs fans are so mad we aren’t signing one of these shitty strikers we’ve been linked to.

  9. Mourinho said January is the window of opportunity. Sign good players if the opportunity arises. Don’t go looking for all of your answers. So far that’s what we’ve done and I’m very happy. Gedson and Bergwijn look promising. I’m ok not singing whoever Willian Jose is or Giroud.

yeah, like, there's no reason to overpay for a striker when we're clearly in a little bit of a rebuild right now. Panic buying some striker that wouldn't work out in the future isn't the right move. It definitely will need to be addressed in the Summer though. I like our signings this window.

  11. I think we could see Dele or Son or maybe even Bergwijn get a look at CF. Lucas certainly isn't performing well there and Jose knows it. He's much more valuable on the right side. Son has filled in up top during previous Kane injuries and did just fine. Dele has positive moments there as well.

The other thing is, Chelsea and United are the main competition for the 4th spot. Both had strikers go down. Neither found a replacement. It's clear clubs in need don't think these mediocre at best strikers are worth it. Butt our fans will look for any reason possible to bash Levy.

What if it was Son and Dele up top? I could see that being a good partnership.

  13. I'm very in favor of trying that instead on spending money on the names we've been linked to this summer.

    Son - Dele
Bergwijn - Ndombele - Winks - Lo Celso

I'm not opposed to trying out 442

I've always liked from what I've seen out of Son and have thought Dele looked stellar at points last year and maybe the WC too

Dele is so hit and miss. One game he’s tearing it up and is unbelievable the next he looks like he shouldn’t be on a PL team

I love Son a lot though

    Seems we’ve signed Ighalo...

  19. I went over to the Spurs forum and they're mad. "United actually acting like a big club and signing a striker when they need one".

I don't understand some fans haha

and United fans are acting like signing him makes us a small club. Fans are weird. It’s a no lose deal, not great sure but it’s a cheap 6 month loan. If he scores a few, great. If he doesn’t, we aren’t losing much.

I'm not sure how to link videos in here, but if anyone gets time I really recommend searching YouTube for for the Bleacher Report video on Fabrizio Romero. Absolutely fascinating look at how these reporters get it right so quickly.

United fans are great. Gone full circle in basically 12 hours.

Started by wanting King, then the links to Ighalo started and they went to preferring Rondon. Then we actually sign Ighalo and they're booting off - he's not United quality, we're signing flops from China, shows how far we've fallen as a club.

Then it emerges that he's a boyhood United fan, and it's flipped. They're talking about how he's scored 1 in every 2 games over his career. Saying how they reckon he might get 10 for us. Might be worth getting him on a two year deal.

It's fantastic to see. I'm literally just happy to have a human body in place that can run around if needed and pretend to be a striker. If he scores a single goal while here then it's a bonus.
