Bayern with the late winning goals against Freiburg and Everton equalizes in injury time vs. Leicester. So I basically freaked out multiple times in the last minutes and my girlfriend is super mad at me right now:crylaugh:

Liverpool sign Minamino for £7.25million. Absolute bargain - am insanely jealous of how well they seem to do in transfer windows, both buying and selling players.

Bummed about losing Arteta understand that it would be extremely hard to keep him if Arsenal came calling....was hoping we would look at him if Pep took off.

I think I'm excited by these developments but I know it will take time before we become good again, and our run of the next five games is horrendous so we could genuinely be bottom three in January. I'm just hoping for a top half finish this season honestly.

Reports coming out this week said they weren't gonna directly replace Pep with Artetta.

They want some actual managerial experience when that time comes around. SO best scenario would be him to have some success at arsenal and in a few years replace Pep.

if he's succeeding at Arsenal, why come back? can City really throw that much more money at him than Arsenal?

    Yes.

I imagine Stan is being cheap right now because he's spending an extra $4 billion on building the stadium in LA.

I wondered this as well but I guess its relative of what success means at Arsenal now and how much the contract difference is between what City would offer and his current deal. Also, the difference in amount of resources in the transfer market he would have available between the two as well would be another factor that he would come back.

That is probably fair and something I wondered about as well.

The owner of Arsenal also owns the (now) Los Angles Rams. He was able to move the team back to LA from St Louis on the condition that he build his own American football stadium. He thought he could develop the land around it as well for $2 billion USD. They're a year late and $4 billion over budget.

Interesting, it would be cool if Rapinoe came back to Lyon. The price is so cheap, $3.5m.

    Arteta confirmed.

  20. What role did he have at Man City?

Assistant Manager. He was being lined up to take over after Pep.

  22. Speaking of Pep, it’s lining up fairly perfect for him to return to Barca in the summer, right?

  24. The Athletic keeps getting better with their soccer coverage. A lot of good writers. And consistently good tactical analysis. Also, the Zonal Marking podcast has been great so far.
