  1. Yeah I think all of that is true. And maybe I’m wrong but I think Poch knows that too. After the CL final when asked about the summer window he said the team needed to make upgrades and that would lead to a lot of tough decisions. While I think that’s true, part of me thinks it rubbed a lot of guys the wrong way and has caused some tension. Maybe I’m reading too much into it.

Xhaka as captain is some exceptional banter from Emery

  3. Sissoko got a new contract and I’m overall happy about it. He can be extremely frustrating but everyone on the team loves him and his work ethic is probably top of the team outside of Son. Hopefully we’re able to eventually see him as a sub in league games and a starter for the cup matches rather than a starter in every game haha

The players must be able to see it too. Unless they all lack the self awareness to know they're not the best player in the world in their position, they must know that they can't achieve much more without some significant upgrades. But that in itself must be quite demotivating. You're left with the choice of performing much the same again or knowing that maybe you need to be replaced for the team to move forward.

That being said, if Spurs focused a bit more on the domestic cup competitions, they should be able to get some silverware at least. 3rd place and the FA cup wouldn't be a bad return at all.

Aurier is a nightmare man, I'd despise him if I was a Spurs fan

why does Aurier keep playing? is there no other option

  9. sorta

but he actually had two really good games the last two times he started. He’s just always capable of what happened today.

  10. Is there a goalkeeper with the combination of amazing saves and awful mistakes like Lloris?

yeah you cant trust him, it has that classic feeling like he'll always let you down despite his upside. remember when he was linked to Arsenal heavily 4 or so seasons ago and Wenger decided against it largely due to decision making

  12. Eriksen playing like shit again

At this point, I'm wondering if Chelsea will sell Pulisic next window/summer. He's seemingly the sixth choice winger under Lampard, who won't even consider playing him as a 10 per interviews. From a pretty biased position admittedly, but he offers more than Mount or Hudson-Odoi (see: his performances against Real Madrid for Dortmund), but is paying the "not-being-English" tax.

  14. I can’t believe the amount of people that still question Harry Kane.

  15. Big win today. Overcame two awful mistakes.

They definitely will not sell him. He hasn’t started as often as the fans want butwill start in CL on Wednesday; he is definitely a wide player rather than a No10 at this stage in his career too I’d say.

If he starts the CL, I’ll be shocked tbh. He hasn’t played four of the last five games at all.

He plays 10 for the US (and has since he was 18), so I wouldn’t say he can’t play there.

For Dortmund he has mostly played on the wing though. Which should not indicate that he cannot play as a 10 at all.

I think it's his lack of consistency. There's a reason he lost his place at Dortmund.

I'd still start him over CHO though but it's pretty close.

Newcastle aiming for a total meltdown here. Hayden following through like a complete moron. We looked shit with 11 players. With 10, Leicester might fill their boots.
