Draw is the fair result there. Impressive to go down twice and bring it back to a tie. Especially considering the two goals we gave up were very Spursy.

Going away to Arsenal and not backing down and still trying to pass through the press was also nice to see. It was clearly much harder to break through the Arsenal press but the guys didn’t let it frustrate them. They just stuck to the plan and played a good game. I was worried some of the guys would revert back to being more cautious.

Yeah I’ll take the draw on the road. Even game, typical derby. Nice to see them fight back and not just surrender after going down each time. Just hope Madds isn’t serious and that he’s good for the future.

Van de Ven is a real unsung hero today. Really impressed with him.

 

He’s been so good. Romero too despite what happened today. The backline as a whole has been a pleasant surprise. Genuinely surprised that Porro and Udogie look this good defensively.

 

Dutch football has a real hooligan issue, but imagine being THAT upset as an Ajax fan when you win the league 90% of the time and are having one bad season.
