I just became the biggest Victor Roque fan in the world.

If I was in a supporters group for any of the other 19 clubs I would do my best to find out which song it was and sing that anytime he's in our end or has the ball

I see Caicedo's woes continued last night re: giving away the FK for Messi's goal.

It's been said to death, but Brighton have played a blinder there.

Is Messi scheduled to play the Miami game on Sunday?

Yeah I know he just played the international yesterday, but wasn't sure if he'd try and fly back quick enough to play with the team tomorrow, haha

Romero’s good but nowhere near the best on the world. He’s not even the best CB at Spurs anymore. VDV looks far more composed to me.

Gvardiol, Martinez, Saliba, Gabriel, Van Dijk, Stones, Militao, Rudger, Ruben Dias are all better IMO.(aware I’m missing some obvious ones but I can only watch so much football)

Argentina have another game on Monday, iirc. MLS doesn’t abide by all of the FIFA international breaks, but most international players have clauses where they can go represent their country during those breaks.

  17. but what Messi says goes so….he’s the best ever

  18. I don’t actually think he’s the best in the world. But I wish I watched the game last night. Romero getting showered with praise from all his Argentina teammates.

Not 100% sure if you actually have this mindset or not but just incase...being great at the game doesn't necessarily make your opinions on the game worthwhile. I rate Romero, by the way, I just wouldn't hold onto Messi's word as gospel.

  20. No lol I was definitely joking. Messi saying a teammate is awesome doesn’t really mean anything lol

  21. This isn’t an argument for him being the best, just a super surprising stat considering what we’ve seen from Romero in previous seasons lol

  22. I think the main explanation of no fouls is that he’s just defending less in the new system. On top of him also being in better form so far.

Memories are nice, but that's all they are. Prestigious

It’s still extremely early, but Romero has been way more composed and not as boneheaded this season.
