Oh yeah, oh yeah, everything is terrible.

probably should've been 2-1 United, but also shouldn't have to be relying on a Maguire-Evans pairing in 2023- still played decently in the second half, and once Hojlund really gets clicking I think things will start to go our way

  7. If Spurs and Arsenal both win their first game back from the break, we’ll be going into the NLD with both teams unbeaten. I don’t know if I can handle that lol

Rough result. Thought a draw would have been fair really, definitely wasn't a 3-1 worthy performance.

Maguire and Evans in the year of our Lord 2023, my word.

Højlund looks a proper player. Changed United's whole approach when he came on. Contested everything. Martial looked like a part timer in comparison, don't think he did one thing right all afternoon

    Fucking. Limbs.

Was behind the goal for the two extra time goals and I lost my fucking shit.

Hope that's the last we see of Martial starting to be honest. Offers absolutely nothing these days. No scenario where starting Rashford up the middle or Sancho false 9 isn't a better option if Højlund happens to be out

Will post my thoughts on the match after navigating the hell of the Piccadilly line, but I think this just about sums it up

P.S. I injured my hand somehow whilst celebrating and it won’t stop burning, so that’s fun

    hmmm

    Maguire and Evans though.

I think we should see if Hyypia and Henchoz are up for a comeback.

Game was pretty even, I thought. Both teams had good spells. 1-1 would have been a fair result but also… FUCKIN AV IT

Thought that Havertz was truly awful. Gave the ball away for the Rashford goal, missed a sitter, and generally did nothing good. Fabio Viera replaced him and continued to really impress. He needs to start.

Similarly, Saka looks knackered. He’s started the season very poorly, and it isn’t helped by Mikel never resting or subbing him. Nelson came on when Martinelli looked tired and was impressive and threatening, why not bring ESR on for Saka then?

Declan Rice was comfortably the best player on the pitch though. Massive & well timed tackles, good ball carrying, forward thinking passing, kept his cool, and got the crucial goal.

We haven’t really played brilliantly yet this season but we have got 10 points. When we click, it should be great.

You wouldn't know Osasuna had a deflating defeat in Europe during the week. Giving Barca a game here.

Well, that's a stroke of fortune for Barca. A moment of madness and Osasuna are down to 10 and also down 2-1 thanks to a Lewy penalty.

  25. The NFL has for the most part gotten reviews correct in the last few years but VAR reminds me a lot of what is happening in MLB right now. They are just shockingly bad sometimes to the point where the only possible explanation is bias or lack of training/understanding of rules. If they are going to use this technology in big games, they better start getting it right.
