I honestly had no idea it was so bad. That's really sad to see, I've always wanted you back in the Premier League but it sounds like you are much closer to relegation that promotion...

Welp, that post makes me sad.

Gonna need that fantasy code @Garrett L.

Boro are 3-0 up v Sheffield United without Gibson and Traore.

Very dark reading that, sorry your clubs going through all that crap. I really wish the FL would re-write the fit and proper rules as there’s been so many instances of this thing happening the last 10 years. Anyways I hope he either sells up or sorts his shit out.

I know your pain though as we’ve had a similar problem with Venkys at Blackburn, complete mismanagement from the get go and trusting the wrong people. Main differences with our situation probably being it not so much being a personal vanity project, they took over to make money and get their brand name out there in the UK (although that obvs took the back burner with all the bad press).

They’ve finally started to turn things around here and learned their lessons since we went down to L1. The bad advisers have gone now and we’ve offloaded a lot of high wages, good manager in, a solid team together and have started to develop youth too. It’s definitely the most positive I’ve been being a Blackburn fan since they took over.

jesus christ that sounds absolutely horrible. I didn't think it was that bad either.

United being bottom of the league is somewhat cheering me up.

Thanks. On paper I think Chansiri looked the successful business man. His business is selling tuna though. It started off well, he just got rid of the wrong group of advisors. I expect us to tumble back in to league 1 ourselves in the next couple of years.

Glad to see Blackburn turning it around. I only see it as a positive having as many northern teams as high up the leagues as possible.

    hmmm

Shaqiri really impressing in pre-season. Think he'll have a more important role than initially expected, especially with Fekir not arriving and Ox's injury. Can really open up deep-lying teams, I think.

Looks like Waghorn is leaving Ipswich after a season. Bought for £250k sold to Derby for £5m + bonuses. Good piece of work by the team on that one. Bringing in a couple more signings before the end of the window, just need a bit of time for everyone to settle and learn how to pass the ball again after however many years of hoofball with Mick.

Damn, what has happened to Chris Wilder, as someone who lives near Northampton I'm pretty surprised that they have started so poorly considering his work there and at United last season.

No idea mate but they were shocking tonight by all accounts. Sheffield United played expansive football last season but it looks like they were Pullis'd tonight.

He is one of the worst footballers I have ever seen in my life. Ipswich are miracle workers... or the English market really is fucked.

  15. £25m bid for Grealish. That seems like the right price for him. I’m sure Villa will try to squeeze out more.

Our transfer window is becoming a problem. We've chased McGinn for a few weeks-months now and Aston Villa seem to have popped in to try and get him. I think if he's got the choice on equal terms with each, he'd sign with us. He has a lot of close relation to ourselves through his grandfather but to get to this point is ridiculous. The money on offer is not in line with how we should consider a player not guaranteed for our starting XI.

It's hard for us to see that our defence is crying out for some real quality yet all we are linked with is midfielders.

  18. £25m bid rejected lmao

    Villa is crazy

They've no need to sell. Will cost 35 at least I'd say.

  20. Grealish has expressed he wants to leave. I know that doesn’t mean they have to sell but that’s usually reason enough to sell.

  21. The market is weird. Lucas only cost ~£25m.

Alderweireld seems to want to leave and look how that's going.

  23. Yeah sure, but United seemingly being the only team interested makes it much harder. If a team abroad came calling I think a deal would get done rather quick.

So Spurs have their price and United aren't willing to pay? Seems similar to Grealish. Villa know the price, I assume Spurs know the price.

  25. Spurs, like United would do in the same situation, seem to be increasing the price because they’re selling to a direct rival. Villa and Spurs are not rivals. Selling Grealish to Spurs would not be improving their rival. On a broad scale what you’re saying in true, but there is an obvious difference in the two deals.

United fans say the £60m rumor was way too big of a price. I think that’s a fair argument. So now the rumor is £40m. If Toby is only worth £40m, how in the world in Grealish worth £35m?
