My fpl season can be summed up by forgetting to use my triple captain when I meant to. He got 19 points that week.

Instead it ended up being used on the final day when I remembered. I got 3 points from it.

I missed the whole day as was drunk out of my mind, refreshed the app about 1am and hazily saw we were even on 2581 but @Big Un had got 66b to my 60 and thought maybe the tables hadn't updated or something! Congrats to you @Big Un as you actually finished 5 places ahead of me in the overall rankings lol, insane end to and insane season

    TOTS for me:

    GK: Allison
    LB: Ake
    CB: Botman
    CB: Gabriel Magalhaes
    RB: Trippier
    CM: Rodri
    CM: Ødegaard
    CM: De Bruyne
    LW: Martinelli
    RW: Saka
    CF: Haaland

Gk and LB were hard. Shout out to Rashford, Kane, Xhaka, and Lisandro Martinez too.

Pretty much exactly the same for me except I'm confident in picking Raya over Allison. I did attempt a 3-2-4-1 formation (Pepe style!) but it would be at the expense of Trippier and he absolutely deserves to be in any TOTS.

Yeah, I did consider doing a 3 atb. I think I might do a team ignoring the top four, Liverpool and Harry Kane. Cause there were some great performances this season from players at Brighton, Brentford, Villa, Palace, etc.

  8. Arsenal’s strategy of just buying players from Man City might be a good one

  9. Hope he goes somewhere good. Big fan of his.

Chelsea finished this season with 5 less points than Newcastle last season. What are the odds Poch does a Howe and guides Chelsea to the Champions League?

I’d argue most of their US players deserve to play in the championship. Has any of them shown even a glimmer of quality for Leeds this year? Aaronson for like two weeks maybe. McKennie was absolutely dogshit.

The only Leeds players who can hold their heads high are Gnonto, Summerville, and Rodrigo.

Tyler Adams injury happened and their point totals plummeted. Hard to not say it’s related. He’s the best of the three by a long shot imo.

Yeah, he was fairly decent actually. In a very unglamorous position.

I suspect both remaining US players will get moves anyway, somewhere else in Europe like Germany.

There’s quite a lot of good players going down this year. Interested to see where they end up.

    Gnonto
    Summerville
    Rodrigo
    Barnes
    Maddison
    Iheanacho
    Castagne
    Tielemans
    Lavia
    Alcaraz
    Ward-Prowse
    Walker-Peters

Yeah. Some really good talents on Leicester are about to make a big jump, if I had to guess.

I think these 4 should stay with their clubs. I know it's tough to stomach a year lower, but a good Championship season could be the making of all 4.

It seems like he struggled at Bayern and can just be a pain in the ass to deal with in the dressing room unless he is starting every game he thinks he should be. Definitely feel like he has some good run of form in him but really needs to find a squad who will play him damn near every match.

  20. Feel like Maddison ends up at Spurs or Newcastle.

I'd take Maddison at United like. Not a massive position of need for us and he wouldn't start unless ten Hag wants to experiment more with RW Bruno, but he'd help our squad depth massively.

So, Buonanotte was refused permission to join up with Argentina's u20 team for the u20 World Cup, he stayed in England to make a few starts for Brighton towards the end of the season, and now he's called up for the senior Argentina squad. Funny how things can work out sometimes, huh?

  23. That shouldn’t be a red

  24. And VAR is useless

  25. Barnsley should’ve had a penalty. Ref missed it. VAR didn’t review. Seconds later ref gives Barnsley player a red. Replay shows it shouldn’t have been a red. VAR does check. But doesn’t overturn.

    Robbery.
