What’s the right way? Like sneaking up from behind and sticking a bag over his head? Creepy.

Plot twist: Nagelsmann is actually a horse and you should never approach him from behind.

Whilst very impressive, when you dig deeper, it’s not exactly “dominant”, just alongside a few others as very strong.

I’d say this proved that perhaps they have excellent coaches at youth level, but a lack of first team opportunities hurts them a tad in the long run. Of course, not sure why they would care, but just giving a more balanced view, I guess.

Yeah its all about how you quantify it right? Like at that level what do championships really mean? Then what is the exact priorities of your academy, is it about developing players to sell for profit or is the first priority getting players into your first team? You can have both of those goals to at the same time but what is the first priority.

Another thing to look at is where are those players coming from as well? I think like 7 of the 11 that started in that championship game came from he greater Manchester area.

100%. I don’t think you can really have a dominant academy in England because I suspect the standards at Arsenal, Chelsea, United, and City is just unbelievable across the board. And then you have clubs like Liverpool, Newcastle, Aston Villa and more who also produce great players.

Youth football trophies and success can also be a bit misleading. You have players, and god knows United have had a lot that are just a step or two above everyone else at that level, then they flame out in senior football. Then you have others like Rashford, or Greenwood that just skip levels they should be playing at. Obviously winning shit is great and all and does show a good level, but there’s so many variables.

That Madrid line-up should not be losing to Girona. Incredible.

They are also talking about bringing in a salary cap. Of course, what they probably won't consider is this will only hinder teams who are paying their players legally, and not those who have third party companies top up salaries and so on.

It'll be criminal if Leicester end up going down. How on earth the club has allowed itself to get into that situation.

How far do we reckon Emery will take Villa next season? Ridiculous form shown by them since he took over.

It’s unreal the turnaround at Villa since Emery came in. Also a huge indictment on Gerrard.

Implying that's not part of the point. Saw an interesting article waaaaaaay back about how FFP was designed to stifle the nouveau riche.

La Liga and EPL relegation battles are truly fascinating this year. Both have teams that have no business being that bad fighting for their lives.
