  1. Mason will be “assistant head coach”

    but I am surprised Stellini is staying around.

  3. Poch -> Real Madrid
    Nagelsmann -> Tottenham

    That’s my prediction.

    I actually think Spurs will go a bit left field with it and hire Arne Slot from Feyenoord

    I think he’d be an excellent choice if RDZ leaves Brighton sometime soon.

    I really hope RDZ stays at Brighton for a bit, but yeah absolutely wouldn't blame him to take the chance for a big move if it comes. Things change fast in football and you've got to take the chance when it's presented to you.

  7. I’ve already seen Slot mentioned so I guess I need to read about him lol

    Either Slot or big Ange Postecoglou from Celtic. Matter of time before Ange gets a move it feels.

    Memories are nice, but that's all they are. Prestigious

    Levy is obsessed with big names though. Sounds like we were going to hire Tuchel before the Bayern gig opened up.

    I think/hope it’ll be Nagelsmann, but if it’s not hopefully we pivot to Slot or Ange.

  10. Is it unprecedented for a manager to sign a pre-contract? I’ve seen it suggested that Nagelsmann might want some time off, which makes sense, and that Spurs should lock him down now and have him come in this summer.

    Bayern still have him under contract so they’d also have to negotiate a buyout compensation too it sounds like

    hmmm

    It's a joke that they have an international break at this point every year. It always results in a bunch of unnecessary, potentially season-defining injuries going into the last 6-8 weeks of the season.

  14. 6 months ago I would’ve said losing Emerson isn’t a big deal. But he’s played very well basically since the WC break. We are getting really thin in a few positions.

    Fun fact: around my neck of the woods, the word "slot" is regional slang for scoring a goal. Moreover, a "slotter" is a goalscorer.

    Good, let’s get him tied down on a deal he deserves. Guy is just 21, yet has been Arsenal and England’s best player over the last 18 months, and is a POTS candidate.

    Chelsea desperately need to sell players by June 30th to meet FFP, apparently.

  18. This sounds miserable. No wonder we looked so lethargic in games. They were exhausted from his training and tuned out from his bullshit.

    2km before matches?? No wonder we looked fucking exhausted to start each game

    that's wild lol i can't imagine running 1.25 miles before running another 6+ over the next 90 minutes

  21. Also makes you wonder about the correlation of his training tactics and the amount of injuries we’ve had this season.

    I can guarantee that this short vacation was communicated upfront. A coach at Bayern (or probably: a coach at a top club in Europe) does not go on vacation without informing the club and getting the ok.

    There have to be international games throughout the year and they're always going to be inconvenient for club football. But they are needed. You cannot just play tournaments without any preparation.

    What does "heart-to-heart" mean?

    It’s an idiom for a very intimidate, intense conversation where you’re speaking truth from “heart to heart”

    That's kinda what I assumed but just to clarify: does a heart-to-heart have to be between two people or can it be in a group? From the tweet I reckon it can be in a group?
