Totally get why the ref made the decision he did, but he basically ruined the match. Use common sense, talk to both managers or captains, and try to diffuse the situation?

I get what you’re saying but why would he talk to Maguire or ETH? We weren’t involved at all apart from trying to get Mitrović away from the ref after Mitrović had already been sent off. It wasn’t like it was handbags before their manager and Mitrović got sent off. They were on their own going after the ref, hell Marco Silva was the first one sent off and he refused to leave the pitch.

 

Just got home from my grandfather’s funeral and it looks like one of my pet chickens is dying, so I hope you all got money on Real Madrid absolutely thumping Barcelona today as my luck is at an all time low and I think the Vols used up all of what I had to beat Duke yesterday.

 

I guess just to make it leas confrontational, but yeah, realistically it’s just for Fulham’s benefit.

The referee doesn’t HAVE to do this of course, but it’s a heated moment in an FA Cup quarter final. I feel like every effort should be made to keep it competitive.
