Truthfully, I don’t know what this match actually tells us.

Liverpool are inconsistent and can be good on their day, but their midfield and defence don‘t let them control matches.

United are decent but overhyped. However, this feels like one of them days as opposed to a sign of anything greater. They’re still the 3rd best team, comfortably I think.

Surely that’s a red for Nunez?

We’re a decent side with little to no depth and have a lot of miles on the clock. We’re well capable of results like this, the rest of the season is about lessening the chance of them. I think ETH made a mistake going with Wout and Bruno from the start, should have loaded up midfield and took them out of the game altogether. The goal before half time completely killed us.

Just one of those games where literally everything went wrong. Weird as feck given how we’ve been playing but something like this was always on the cards really. Shame it’s to Liverpool, but better to lose one game 6-0 than six 1-0. ETH has done well to pick us back up a few times this season, will have to do it again. Ah well.

Remember when Neville kept saying Man United would catch Arsenal and finish 2nd this season?

 

Right it’s done, move on from that hopefully. Going to be tough end to the season, need to consolidate top 4, still a game in hand on Spurs. But yeah our players look shattered tired. Was evident against Newcastle and our backups were terrible against West Ham. Just hope we have enough in the tank to take us through to the end of the season, another two legged match in Europe soon isn’t ideal.

not really sure what else you can take from that match, everything seemed to fall their way with help of our own. You play that 100 times and that doesn’t happen 99 times but it did. Feck.

 

Nothing brings me more happiness than Gary being proven to be a clown.

Towards the end when Neville was saying something akin to "maybe you lose 3 or 4 away to Liverpool but you don't lose 7–nil." and the emphatic tone Carragher came back with in saying "TODAY YOU DO!" was absolute gold.

 

Well…that was bad.

 

I wonder if Bruno will get a suspension for that slap of the linesman. It’s light be it should 100% be a red and a big suspension. Man’s a weapons grade cvnt.

 

From 15-43, Man United were the better team. A lot of fun after that. Nice to see the front three scoring the goals, and Firmino's goal was the icing on the cake. Salah phenomenal. I always think Suarez is the best Liverpool player I've ever seen in my life but Salah's consistency over six years might put him in that spot.

If I was Ten Hag, I'd go full Ferguson throwing boots at Fernandes after the game. Astounding for your captain to put in a performance like that in a big game away from home.

 

What did Bruno do?

I've seen the clip of him flopping grabbing his face. He's the only player on United that irks me. Mostly a team of players I enjoy watching but I can't stand how often he's in the refs face whining or doing something like the flopping mentioned previously. I know he isn't the only player that does it but it seems very consistent from him.

Great player though.
