How much is an Arsenal/EPL season ticket? 19 home matches, but also Cup games? Europe leagues?

I'm sure the Arsenal season ticket for the 22/23 season was roughly £1200-£1300.

It may be the American in me, but ~68 a game seems stellar, haha. Our country's ticket prices are absurd, though...

  6. I pay roughly $50-55 per game for my Charlotte season tickets. I think it’s a fair price. Majority of our fanbase hates it because of the comparison to prices across Europe. I get it. But $50-55 to sit 9th row is a bargain compared to what that’d cost for every other major American sporting event.

I pay $50/game for Vols season tickets in the mid-nosebleeds. Last year was $42. Well worth it; would probably pay a bit more if my finances were a bit more stable.

So without a season ticket, EPL home games come out as being charged about 40-50 quid, with that rising if you’re playing another “big six” team to about 60-70.

Cup games tend to be 25-40 depending on the team (I once saw the most dull 0-0 with Sporting CP for £25 and that’s the cheapest I have had personally).

For that, I sit on the sixth row, behind the goal on the North bank, or a little higher in the 20th row, in the north west corner.

I don’t have a season ticket at the moment, but I know someone who has 4 for his family, and his kids only attend a couple a season due to work/university, so he sells the tickets on for 90%+ of the matches.

    It's all hell.

Getting tickets without knowing someone with a season ticket has been an absolute nightmare this year. I used to have a friend at work who couldn't make a lot of games so I was able to just get tickets from him but I've changed role and trying to get tickets through the website is borderline impossible, (this was not the case when we were shit lol)

Yeah, even with knowing someone, I’m attending probably 50% less games compared to recent years. It also doesn’t help that the ticket exchange website is plagued with bots. The club are doing something about that but it’s an ongoing process.

The USL (2nd division) team has season tix starting at $20/match to sit in the supporters' section (metal benches w/ no backs). Actual seats behind the benches start at $60/match.

I think DCFC's tickets last year for the "non family friendly side" was like 12 bucks, I think they are still the old school wooden benches without backs. They have Stroh's beer for like $3 a can and then I think the craft beer is like $8-$9 a can. They also get a bunch of food trucks to come out and do their concessions. They had a polish truck there when I went and you got a big ass kielbasa and pierogis for something like 10 bucks. Detroit City games are a steal around town for professional sports.

The new Football Weekly pod has a very interesting section at the start with a guy who is apparently an expert in football law.

Couple of points that stood out:

Due to preparing a defence for 115 charges, it is likely to take months to figure out. Almost certainly not being seen before the season ends.

Any hacked or leaked documents are allowed to be used as evidence.

City unlikely to use stalling tactics as it could result in a bigger punishment.

Titles being revoked is seen as “extremely unlikely”

Expulsion from PL or points deductions are seen as more likely

If they are forced out of the PL, the EFL doesn’t actually have to accept them (though they likely would)

If found guilty, other clubs could sue for lost earnings, such as teams who got narrowly relegated or missed out on CL

One of the punishments I saw listed was that they would have to replay matches and that made me chuckle at the outlandish and never going to happen scenario of the likes of Carlos Tevez and Balotelli having to come back and replay a way back version Cardiff with Craig Bellamy.

The Why Always Us? podcast has a pretty level headed discussion on it from the City side as well. Sam Lee is probably my favorite City reporter.

I'm sad it's going away. I think a lot of people like Sam Lee as a City reporter since he grew up a Manchester United supporter. I feel like he's as critical of the club as a beat reporter can be. I also feel like he does a good job at trying to ease the worries of City supporters.

I missed that it's going away! Man that is a damn shame, yeah I like that Sam is kind of beat reporter since he is a United supporter.
