I know that you're joking and it is a completely different situation, but Dynamo Dresden got a 2 match ban in the EC in 1991 after fan riots and as far as I know this ban is still active today. So whenever Dynamo qualifies for Europe in the future they will be banned still...

Tbf, if Barca have decided to sell him, and he’s going to like half of what Chelsea paid for Mudryk, that’s a steal.

What’s the bet Chelsea offer €70m for him?

Barcelona’s summer window just seems bizarre and mostly terrible in hindsight. But you would expect they would be looking for a profit on him, so €70m seems right.

Hard pass. So many other options out there, honestly. I wouldn’t pay above 50-55m honestly.

This is super interesting. PSG may have to build a totally new stadium due to this.

So what might happen to the Parc Des Princes? Well next in line to play there would be Paris FC who are fighting for promotion in the second tier. And they happen to be minority owned by Bahrain, with a supposed deal to become majority owners once they get promoted.

They only play in a 20k stadium but ownership change and investment would probably change that quickly, and reportedly they want to be a club aimed more at utilising the crazy young talents of the city itself.

There could be a city rival to PSG emerging, with a more Parisian feel.

And presumably you have the Bahrain / Qatar geopolitical angle as well.

Exactly, feels like it could be very interesting. Bahrain aiming to become the “true” Paris team is such a great move from them.

Obviously there’s issues around sportswashing here but I feel like I’ve spoken about that so much that everyone knows my strong feelings on it ha.

The first thing that came to my mind when I read this: Mbappe to Paris FC?

I’ve always assumed Mbappe would end up in Manchester after he snubbed Madrid and this contract ran out.

If he’s a flop 3 years down the line he’ll still have 5 1/2 years left on that and be on a pretty high wage if the rumours Chelsea offered double what Arsenal were. Madness

Two fairly stonewall penalties that the ref was delighted not to give.
