    It's all hell.

Trent has been awful again. His regression must be so frustrating for Liverpool fans

2-0 is the least they deserve. We're all over the place.

I'm not sure if I actually fully believe this myself but just putting it out there - has Trent actually regressed, or is it that these weaknesses always existed and Liverpool have lost the ability to mask them (through their world class midfield and VVD)?

I feel like this is Southgates view, that Trent needs very particular circumstances and can be world class with the right protection, but that England can't currently provide that for him.

VVD subbed off at HT. Ouch.

    It's all hell.

I take it back. That assist was a banger.

    But defensively...!

All of our outfield players have been bad defensively this season though. Counter pressing has collapsed and we're porous through midfield so the high line is exposed. And we have a bunch of players hovering around the age of 30 who cannot cover individually for the system breakdowns.

If TAA is a liability defensively but an absolute world class winger, why not just move him to the front line?

He's not a winger though, if anything he's more of a midfielder. And going back to last season, Klopp started playing him in a more tucked-in position on the ball so he was sort of playing a withdrawn right midfield role when we were attacking. The problem is it took away his angle for crosses and he stopped linking with Salah as much.

RB's still his best position because it gives him the space, whereas playing as a winger means you have to receive with your back to play much more. He's just really exposed like the rest of our defence this season.

Is Bellingham what Liverpool need for €150m? Surely that money would be better spent refreshing other areas of the pitch they’re getting old in.

  12. How do we expect to upgrade at a position if we won’t spend 40m to do so

Memories are nice, but that's all they are. Prestigious

It’s just laughable. I’m so over this.

  14. Chelsea are absolutely wild haha they're paying up for Enzo while also trying to hijack Mudryk

Let’s hope this is sorted quickly. Apparently our new offer is something they’re much happier with and he clearly wants to come to us and not them.

Someone should just play him as a winger. Man can’t defend but is so good going forward.

A player in the NFL experienced the same cardiac arrest as Eriksen during a game last night (was revived and is in the hospital). The NFL immediately postponed the game and didn’t force players to immediately keep playing. Really made me feel how vile that UEFA/FIFA decision was to force Denmark to keep playing that day all over again.

FWIW I am getting contradictory reports that say the NFL tried to restart the game and the coaches pulled the teams off. Not so much refuting your point as reinforcing it.

Didn’t Denmark choose to continue? I thought they did but I may well be misremembering.
