But seriously, Liverpool in Europe have a magic that only Real Madrid can top. What a wild match.

It doesn’t just come down to luck though, when Alexander-Arnold lost the ball in that phase, he literally had the desire and athleticism that put him ahead of the all the Barça players and made the second* goal. Incredible stuff. That was the difference on the night above all.

 

I would like to request that Barcelona are now a banned discussion topic in this thread. Worse bottlers than PSG!

I haven’t feel this alive since the Game 7 of the 2016 World Series. Maybe that’s a bit of an exaggeration. But that was amazing. What tenacity by Liverpool, what endurance to keep pushing. I’m buzzing right now. I haven’t had sports-related jitters like that in ages

No sport has given me this much intrigue, emotion, awe, fun, nail-bitting moments, upsets, I could go on and on. I mean other sports are admirable and entertaining enough, but they don’t even come with MILES of football/soccer.

Fun story: I got sick the day before flying to Barcelona so I’ve spent my entire first day here in bed. Just woke up. I suddenly feel better about sleeping through it.

 

can't believe we might have a CL final with two premier league teams. spurs have come such a long way since i started supporting them back in the ap.net days

Yeah. It’s been...well. I’ve been asleep for six straight hours. I woke up extremely disoriented. Hoping I wake up okay tomorrow since that’s when my plans start. Today was kind of a rest day in the itinerary anyway.

Also, how did Barca go into that match with a 3-0 lead and have an attitude that suggested they didn't think they could win?

They comfortably beat Liverpool when Liverpool had played very well. How do you then turn up a week later, looking like you're the ones who are 3-0 down? They needed one away goal to give Liverpool an absolute mountain to climb. It's so weird.

 

Still can't believe the result last night. As a neutral, it's games like that which go down in history and remind you why you love football. Unbelievable result - well done Liverpool.
