Tbf playing Maguire in a three is why he hasn’t been bad for England. Hides his weaknesses. I can very easily see us doing exactly that in certain games.

Also Grealish doesn’t start for us anyway, because his form has been fairly average this season and last. We’ll likely line up with with Foden and Saka on the wings.

Götze is certainly a little surprise but just like you said well deserved. The biggest surprise is probably that Flick didn't choose Hummels, although that also was rumoured for some time already.
Biggest controversy for me is the inclusion of Kehrer and Adeyemi. Kehrer is really not that great, but Flick seems to like him somehow. And Adeyemi had quite a bad season so far in Dortmund, but I guess his potential made the difference for choosing him. Knauff would have been another option that would have deserved a call-up more based on current form.
