  1. Agreed. Dier should’ve definitely been sent off. Which would’ve been fine with me because he’s been awful. Him and Wanyama should both be sold and replaced with two new guys.

And to your point about the ref, he definitely let the game get out of hand and it lead to players making frustrated mistakes. Thankfully no one else wants CL and we should be ok.

This is the most nervous I’ve been for a City game since Liverpool in January.

Leicester could get a result tonight, that's what's worrying me. There is a real, solid chance that Leicester win. They're a good team and clearly know how to get something from the big teams in the league.

How did I miss that Kolo Toure is on Rodger's staff at Leicester.

Is Walker always this poor for City? Seems every pass he plays is either inaccurate or a graveyard ball with way too much power on it forcing a teammate to miscontrol. Looks vulnerable at the back too.

16 year olds are doing this and benefitting from it. Refs are jokes.

Yes. What makes him great in this team can also be very vulnerable when he’s not on it.

Fantastic goal, very thankful he scored it because that would have been the league gone to LFC if they hadn't won. Imagine if Brighton hold City to a draw in the last game though!!!

    I do not exist.

As much as I was hoping for Liverpool to win the title, Kompany is a class act and that was a goal worthy of winning the title.

Joining Inter apparently. May be getting old but still one of the worlds top defenders, will not be remotely easy to replace him!

So happy Kompany scored that. Wouldn't want Fabinho's dive that lead to Liverpool's goal to be the turning point in the last couple of match weeks.

  22. Remember back in December/January when we joked about Liverpool bottling another big lead at the top of the table again....and we did so while thinking they wouldn’t actually do it again. But here we are.

  23. With that said, a lot of Spurs fans are already giving Klopp shit and turning around the “no trophies for Poch” narrative to criticize Klopp. I get it. But reaching 97 points in the league and semis of CL (eliminated by the goat) is pretty damn good and doesn’t deserve any criticism (my last post was kind of a joke).

Nobody is going to remember it if they don't win anything though. Like 08/09 where we best them to the league. That ain't the year Liverpool came closest (at the time) to winning the premier league since its inception. It's the year we won our 18th title, and 3rd in a row. This will be Pep winning something stupid like 198 points over two seasons and, if they win it, City defending the title for the first time.

I'm not trying to take away from Liverpool’s achievements. They've been fantastic, but if they don't win anything, not fantastic enough to be remembered.

So you don't think there's a chance that people won't typically recall how close Liverpool were to winning this year upon their recollection of City defending the title? I think it would be pretty easy for them to be remembered together. I think it's a tired, lazy trope to say that people who don't win aren't remembered.

I and most baseball fans who were around at the time quite possibly still remember Mariano Rivera giving up the walk off hit to Luis Gonzalez in the World Series in 2001. I think there's plenty to suggest that the facts of who won / who didn't win are not the only thing people remember. I think along with those simple facts, people will carry with them the memories of Kompany's goal which most likely sealed the title for City going into the last match day... It would just seem more natural for people to keep those in mind as mostly inseparable...

Again, if no one remembers if they don't win anything, then why do plenty of people always remember the last time Liverpool came close to winning but actually did not win it.

I think it's entirely possible that this year is fantastic enough to remember, if not for LIverpool's achievements alone, but at least for the nature of the title race this season...
