I generally have a good feeling about that, but in the end it all depends on which teams we get and how the current form looks like. The World Cup might even change things if players get injured there.

Is the Frankfurt/Marseille/Sporting/Spurs group the worst CL group of all time quality wise? Yes. And was it also one of the most entertaining in terms of drama? Yes.

The biggest travesty is that any of those teams got to progress at all lol.

Fuck me this is a mess

  5. There’s a good chance Son misses Sunday’s game against Liverpool. Of course when we finally get Liverpool while they’re in bad form we’re missing three quality attacking players.

My friend is a Coventry fan, and he said this is like a nightmare that never ends. Such a shame that the football team, and by extension the fans, can spend years and years suffering because of this situation.

There's a small chance Kulu can play, I think. But I don't think it's a coincidence our bad form started basically when he went out. We desperately need him back.

I literally sat and looked at this and wondered where Haaland would be on this....did not look all the way up in that corner until way later on.

Tbf in two weeks we break for the World Cup. Not the worst time to pick up the odd injury.

Not only are they hosting the world cup, but they own our football clubs. Fifa needs gutting and starting again, and we need tight regulations on who can host these tournaments in the future.

I just don’t understand why journalists haven’t been going this hard for five to six years instead of five to six weeks leading up to it. Very easily could’ve swayed public opinion to the point FIFA could’ve ignored the money.

I was trying to describe myself to someone

We're nearer the date, so it's more likely to grab attention for the papers now. It's not like people have been all that quiet about Qatar being a bad host choice. The stories about the stadium building, the slave stuff, the stolen passports and all that has been getting talked about pretty much since it started.

Also, it's not like Qatar's antics were a big secret when they handed it over in the first place. FIFA don't care and know that ultimately the players and fans will bow to wherever they send it eventually. Until a bunch of the bigger teams just refuse to go somewhere, nothing will change.

The reaction to this has been so disappointing. So many people straight up saying it’s fake and “obvious bullshit”.

I do a lot of freelance writing work for companies that are convinced Web3/meta/crypto are the future, and I’m just like… what regular folks are buying in to this? No one I know outside of select gaming platforms. And then things keep falling through like above.

They pay well at the beginning, though, haha.

I wouldn’t be shocked if our Tezos sponsorship ended soon enough too.

Oh wow. The MLS Cup final has no parking because USC-Cal is happening at the same time. They’re bussing people over from Dodger stadium, apparently.

In case you ever wondered how huge college football is versus MLS…
