Hahaha truly embarrassing. I think nobody was expecting us to do well. But what’s the most frustrating thing as a fan is thinking it’s ok to play same formation as in Scottish league and then just say “ahhh well we don’t have the budget to compete”. Doesn’t excuse that record. I remember Walter smith took a team to old Trafford with like a 40+ year old defender and got a draw!!! We could have probably got a draw or two if we parked the bus. Imo.

 

The last time my local team played in the DFB-Pokal was in 2002 against Werder Bremen. The night before, me and my friends went to the only hotel in town and screamed and lit some fireworks there, because we were sure that the Bremen team would stay there for the night. Turned out they were in a different hotel in the region.
But we only lost 1-0 against them in a tight match (back then we were a 4th tier club), so if you ask me: yes, it does work.

 

now let’s hope they can make it past the quarters this year
