Someone from The Football Ramble has tipped Rafa Benitez. I really hope that's tongue in cheek!

    hmmm

It's genuinely difficult to predict. I don't think Potter would take it, although the big club lure is a thing. I'd be very surprised if Zidane accepted. Poch – I don't know how well that would go down with Chelsea fans.

Might be a more left field option.

I would laugh so hard if it's Poch

Seeing a lot of “Chelsea don’t want to deal with Brighton, so they’re going Poch.”

God I would hate to see Poch there

  6. Didn’t expect it to happen that quick, but I’d guess some of his behavior recently help speed up the process.

  7. I don’t see Potter agreeing to a new job at this point in the season. It’d be a bad look and he doesn’t seem like the type to do it.

Why would you spend like 300 mil for your manager just to sack him? Insane. Chelsea really need a DoF.

I hope Potter does not take it. He's not an instant impact manager. Need time to implement his style of play and time is not something Chelsea is known for.

That article I posted reads they want a manager that’s also a DoF. Strange considering they left their DoF levels go in the summer and never replaced them.

It has always been slightly embarrassing supporting this club, for many reasons lol, but these new owners really do not give you any impression that they are competent to the level required to run such a club. They say they want a manager that is also DoF - don't BHA have a DoF or "technical director" and Potter is absolutely not doing DoF-level work?

I will be surprised if they manage to convince Graham Potter that CFC is the right club for him today.

  19. Off topic, but is England still relatively thin at LB/LWB? If they’re indeed going to play with a back 3, I think Sessegnon should be considered for a call up. I think he’s a more natural fit in that role than the other LBs and he’s been in good form.

Simeone to Chelsea would be very interesting. But also highly doubt it.

Jesus, always ludicrous to me how quickly managers are spat out in this league.
Guy won champions league and finished top 3 both years. Bad idea

Chelsea were shit much of last year and only finished third because they were slightly less shit than the North London clubs/United. You can only let a guy continue to unnecessarily try and put square pegs into round holes before realizing he’s not going to get it right. Regardless of who they replace him with, sacking Tuchel is definitely the right call.

    Sterling - Auba - Havertz
    Pulisic - Broja - Ziyech

    Kante - Jorginho - Mount
    Zakaria - Kovacic - RLC
    Gallagher - Chukwuemeka - Casadei

    Cucurella - T. Silva - Koulibaly - R. James
    Chilwell - Fofana - Chalobah - Azpilicueta

    Mendy
    Kepa
    Bettinelli

I'm not saying 4-3-3 is the answer after so many years in the 3-4-2-1, but if you can put out almost any of these players in a 4-3-3, you're gonna be competitive.

Haven't seen to much of him, but what i've seen has impressed me. I think Chillwell should be a lock at LB/LWB, but knowing Southgate he'll probably play Trippier there. Or out of form Shaw.

  25. Sounds like it's Potter's job if he wants it with Poch being Plan B and ready to go. I think it'll be Poch.
