For anyone out there who has looked at this transfer window and said "I'd have done this better":

Not sure what the difference is between Epic and Steam when it comes to FM, but better than buying it 2 months before FM23 comes out.

(wish this didn't embed the Assassin's Creed tweet too but I dunno how links for tweets work)

    Never a truer word spoken.

In all honesty I had no idea he had 9 goals already that’s utterly absurd. Just a ridiculously talented player.

I think the worst part of the window for Spurs was the club announcing that they were putting an extra 150m into the club for transfers or whatever else. Because now fans expect every dime of that to be spent immediately and anything less means we failed. Conte has said over and over they don't want to buy players just to buy players. I just don't see why majority of the fans are being so negative (I guess they always are tbf). We've had a pretty fantastic window and we did majority of the business early in the window.

We've had a couple bad breaks with injuries and it's made it a little harder to really get things organized with the rotation and the bench. Luckily, none of the injuries are long-term and we are very close to having everyone back to full health. I think at that point we'll see that the bench is actually much improved from the last couple seasons.

    GK: Hugo Lloris, Fraser Forster

    LCB: Ben Davies, Clement Lenglet
CCB: Eric Dier (Romero and Lenglet can cover here as well)
RCB: Cristian Romero, Davinson Sanchez, Japhet Tanganga

    LWB: Ivan Perisic, Ryan Sessegnon
RWB: Emerson Royal, Djed Spence, Matt Doherty

CM: Rodrigo Bentancur, Yves Bissouma, Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg, Oliver Skipp, Pape Sarr

FWD: Harry Kane, Son Heung-Min, Dejan Kulusevki, Richarlison, Lucas Moura, Bryan Gil

We still have some areas to improve but it doesn't need to be done all in one window. This team is more than good enough for a top 4 finish and a cup trophy. It's about the performance now (and a little bit a luck with staying healthy).

Not to mention we have one of the top managers in the world who is very happy and pleased with the window (at least from what we've heard from him so far).

Man, it fucking pisses me off that people, including our own fans think we want the Glazers out just because of transfers. I just read a United fan saying not signing Sancho in 2020 is the reason we want the club sold. Fucking hell.

Love this, less than 1 minute between the tweets. Both claiming to be exclusive.

I've been thinking about these "Exclusives" a bit over the last few days. People will meme on Fab about this, but I always think it's weird how any of these football journalists claim an exclusive over news which they're likely all getting from really varied sources.

Edit - now this. Can't tell if Orny is being sarcastic haha

They all get it through the same PR wire, no?

Do they? I can never tell, but there's certainly some that get info from agents and others that get it from club side, it seems. Fab in particular seems to be one that gets it from agents. I'm honestly fascinated by football journalism in general though.

  13. I think it's pretty obvious the main reason Spurs fans are unsettled right now is because of how great Arsenal look currently. Which I guess I get, but it's way too early to let that ruin your day lol the only points we've dropped were away to two of our biggest rivals. We've had a tougher schedule to start and are in bad form yet haven't lost a match. We have 8 points out of 12, which isn't necessarily great but certainly isn't bad, especially considering that in the same fixtures last year we had 0 points out of the 12! haha

Sorry for the rambling. I'm done now.

Yeah, I read somewhere that's how it happens but there's embargos too which means only certain journalists can get the exclusive. If you're in the journalist circle and break somebody else's story, shit hits the fan!

Spurs fans being annoyed because we look good is wild. We absolutely do but we're about to go to OT with Zinchenko, Partey, Elneny and Odegaard all injured. We'll get smashed 100%.

Besides, Spurs squad is way more complete than ours. Their style of play has been turgid but I don't think it matters. You'll probably beat us in the league regardless.

  19. I think they’re up to 21 new players now

  20. It’s just typical overreacting lol before yesterday everyone was hyping Sanchez because we’d gone 6 consecutive clean sheets in games he started. He has one poor game and now he’s shit and not a worthy backup for Romero. It’s all so annoying.

Forest do know you can only register 25 players, right? Which four from their squad of last season make the grade?

  25. Leicester's backline is going to be an issue after losing Fofana. They were already thin and now Ndidi is starting at CB.
