I heard the UCL draw is going to be on Paramount+ for those of us stateside. That’s gotta be easier than following along on a tweet thread or website.

Why Israel is included in all the European competitions is so far beyond me

    I do not exist.

Not wanting to get into the atrocious persecution of the Palestinian population but can you imagine the political chaos & potential violence if they played in their own region? The international team players in European qualifying too.

I was trying to describe myself to someone

Anyone else think the relegation fodder this year is much harder to spot in the Prem? I feel like last year there was a clear group of absolute dross who would be fighting it out (or not, Norwich) to avoid going down. There were definitely more teams with shitshow tendencies. After these early games, I don't think many stand out. Everton still look pretty iffy and I'm not sure about Bournemouth (their opening fixtures have been horrible), but everyone else looks like a competent football team.

Bottom half could be one hell of a scrap unless some of them go into meltdown.

Definitely. Currently i’d say Bournemouth, Forest and Everton look the most likely. I think Leicester, West Ham & Villa have strong enough squads to be fine.

Weird cause last year I’d say there were about 5 teams who deserved to go down.

It fucks me up that Casemiro still looks 15. Still got that baby fat on his cheeks.

It was somewhat similar at this point last year. Wolves and Arsenal were bottom with Norwich, but both teams had shown enough to the eye test that neither would go down. Watford had an early win and Burnley didn't look like the shit show they would become.

This season, you have Wolves, West Ham, and Leicester down there. Only Leicester really seem to have a problem but still enough in them to avoid calamity. Fulham have looked good, but in a couple of weeks the Fulham we know and love could come back out to play. Bournemouth seem nice, but they're going to get hammered every second game. It's really just a clear Norwich/Huddersfield/Sheffield United that we're missing so far and I think that's going to be Bournemouth. Everton or Leicester might be the Burnley of this season.

The Wrexham documentary series with Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney dropped its first two episodes. Think it has been really well done so far, first two episodes seem to set up everything up rather than getting into the nitty-gritty of the footballing season.

Group F is going to be wild for that second spot. I might put a little wager on Celtic going through.

Probably went a little bit too chalk on taking the top two teams in each group. Picking that second team in Group A, C, and D is tough to me.

I don't know what happens in your scenario where only a few groups get one team out of the group stage but this is bold
