  1. Spurs fans convincing themselves it’ll be James Maddison. I don’t see it but would approve lol

I really hope Zidane and Savage get some good chances this season. Both have looked so impressive

Honestly I’d take him at Arsenal as an option on the wings.

All just chatter at the moment but I'd love it to be true.

He's not had as much chatter as I expected during this transfer window. Maybe Chelsea wanted to keep it lowkey until their US tour was finished. There was only that brief link with Juventus that I can recall right now.

  8. If Barca can figure out a way to bring in Kounde….they just may overcome the chaos and have a really good team.

Granted, it feels like a bit much and I don't know HOW at all... but looks like Kounde and Lewandowski are both "extremely close." Either finances look a lot different than is publicly known (which is a possibility after Spotify and the first "lever" being pulled to sell tv rights), or it's some of the most creative accounting in history. Especially when... a lot haven't left yet.

Frenkie, Depay, Braithwaite, Pjanic, Riqui Puig, Mingueza, and Neto are all in the shop window. Maybe Ez Abde, too, but I'd like to see him get another chance. I like him a lot. I've read rumors that it's Depay + cash for Kounde.

I like that United’s current business model is basically “what about Ajax?”

Yeah it’s been pretty much official for a few weeks now but apparently his medical is pretty intensive. Took 15 days for Brentford back in Jan and took just about that for us now.
    I’m ok with that.

To clarify being ok with that, one thing we absolutely desperately missed last year were smart players that were good and technical on the ball. EtH is going for players he knows well which can be a miss sometimes but crucially they’re all smart technical players in areas of the pitch that we generally struggle with keeping possession. Even through the first two games of preseason it’s absolutely noticeable how much more patient we have been in possession, so to these (ex)Ajax and Dutch lads, that’s their bread and butter.

It also helps Ten Hag in the dressing room, if he has 4 lads that will run through walls for him from day 1 it will help with the rest of the squad.

What's really impressive to me so far is how much training is paying off in the games, and how the players are taking on board what is said.

United posted some videos from some.ooen training sessions and the first few days at pre-season, and they seem to be doing a particular drill quite heavily. Hard to explain, but it involves players rotating, passing the ball with one touch to a guy in the middle, that guy then lays it off, and the first player then plays a one touch pass to a guy at the other end. That player then does the same to the player in the middle and on it goes, all rotating around.

I've not managed to watch either of the friendlies in full, but have seen quite a few highlights. Must have seen that same action from the above drill maybe 10 times in those highlights, and every time it leads to a chance or overload. Having actual, proper patterns of play in attacking situations is going to be huge for the team.

That training drill looks so fun.

  23. First legit source I’ve seen say this. Would be another ridiculous signing.

Have you seen the comparison to how quick and silky smooth Ajax got at it by the end? United look like school children just trying it for the first time haha. Can't wait till we're like that.
